  1. Yeah, as in the champions league, when they won’t have any decent players to get anywhere near competing for it, like Scottish teams.
  2. Yeah, to play regularly at a third tier level.
  3. They won’t go bust, but it’s evident that the Qataris are getting relatively fuck all back for their grandiose investment, either in terms of success (other than the bland league title), or prestige, and as such, there are already moves afoot to dramatically cut down on spending and go for an ‘alternate’ strategy of buying French players rather than world wide elite like previously. It’s only a matter of time before the Qataris cut them adrift and move on to the Premier League imo.
  4. https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/sekou-mara-the-latest-gem-to-emerge-from-bordeauxs-academy/ Get him signed.
  5. Third division, but they’re appealing.
  6. Be good to utilise him with his contacts in the MLS.

  8. Less opportunity to play here? Nah, not having that. Mbappe, Neymar and Messi to get past, instead of Wilson and Wood? Even if they rest players, he’d still have got more playing time here. If he was good enough, he’d get in the team here - at PSG, your name comes first, and I don’t see his as being big enough right now.
  9. Think you can have white with black details and black, navy, red, and yellow – all of them with white details. Not sure if that’s current though- can only find the refs from 2017.
  10. But, I thought Eriksen didn’t want to leave London / owed Brentford for signing him in Jan / just wanted to play and enjoy his football etc etc…?
  11. Despite being right footed, he’s massively predominantly a left winger himself though- played there 39 in the last 50 games (3 on the right wing) https://www.footballcritic.com/jack-harrison/player-positions/124033
  12. Yep. As a direct Wilson replacement last Jan, the transfer made perfect sense. After buying Wood, and with a fit again Wilson, it makes little sense. The club will want a younger player for sure (I would hope).
  13. They were all players used to the league already, wouldn’t need adapting, and were known quantities who would do an immediate job.
  14. I know Zapata will come relatively cheap, but I just can’t see it, taking into account his age and wanting to lower the age of the squad. He’s not someone who will grow with the club and develop- this would probably be his last move, plus his pace/power characteristics will only start to wane with age.
  15. We scouted him and allegedly bid before turning our attention to Bruno.
  16. Difference being that Owen did it against a 13 year old goalkeeper. Presumably the ‘local side’ are adults. Which makes Owen a cunt and Klinsmann ok.
  17. Or they’re struggling to pay off their gambling debts and can’t afford to retire…
  18. Yep. The agent is employed by him, after all, not the other way around. He doesn’t like what the agent is doing, get a new one.
  19. Gas fitters worldwide now up in arms and boycotting bacon
  20. https://astamfordbridgetoofar.com/2021/11/how-much-chelsea-is-allowed-to-spend-in-the-january-transfer-window-ffp-rules/amp/ this says that Chelsea could have spent £241m in the last window under FFP regulations. (I don’t think they spent anything?).
  21. Hazard in 19/20 was the last HUGE sale, for £110m or whatever it was, btw.
  22. Might have something to do with all their debts being written off as a condition of the sale…. Abraham and Zouma were the last biggish sales I guess, last year at around 35m each?
  23. Depends on the qualifying conditions I guess? £39m wouldn’t be so bad if £15m was added if he won the CL with us, for example.
  24. I think in the clubs eyes, Wood already is that stop gap option. We’ve been there and done it, and spent £25m on the ageing forward. Now we need to get young players who might not start every game, but can grow into the club and team, and also play a part now (when required).
  25. Think that ship has sailed. Would’ve been a great option in Jan instead of Wood, but for whatever reason didn’t come. With the owners speaking of lowering the age of the squad as well as wages, just can’t see it happening, especially as he wouldn’t be first choice striker (after Wilson).
