Depends how they use the cash. Everyone is replaceable, but if they waste it (considering Phillips and Raphinha were probably their two best players) then yes, it won’t end well, as the rest of the squad are bang average/poor, imo.

Even with new signings though, we will have to get at least two players who will guarantee us double figures. The likes of Nketiah, Smith-Rowe and Saka all got that last year, and hence finished above us.

29 games, 2 goals for Fraser 18 games, 8 goals for Wilson 37 games, 5 goals for ASM 34 games, 1 goal for Murphy 32 games, 1 goal for Almiron you expect those players to get us top 4? Even with another signing or two which might get 10-20 goals over the season, we’re still miles behind the attacking capabilities of Tottenham, Arsenal etc.

We’re years behind the top 4/6 in terms of squads, let alone the likes of training facilities etc. We’re playing catch up after being neglected for over a decade. Two transfer windows doesn’t solve that overnight and get us top 4!

Yes, I did, and we were great. However, over a season with form, and injuries taking their inevitable toll, we won’t be able to sustain that every game.

You’re dreaming man. We’re currently an injury to Wilson away from an average mid table team. Even with him fit, our likely spot is around 8-10. Top 4 have quality experienced internationals to come in and cover when they get injuries throughout the team- we have the likes of Clark and Ritchie. We’re nowhere near top 4.

No fucking chance he’ll go for anywhere near that, considering what Nunez went for. I call bullshit. £20-25m absolute max.

Also makes sense given they’ve been so public in the last week or two about signing French (especially Parisian) players and move towards a home country emphasis.
