Just noticed Man U have an away game in the Europa this week actually. Wonder if that gives us a chance of a point or 3 (I know).

Yea I’ve stopped worrying about keeping other teams involved in it and am entirely focused on Fulham losing. Watching that god awful Burnley side and hoping they beat Fulham tomorrow is going to be grim.

It was the same role Wilson has played but Gayle did it much worse. He didn’t really make the runs Wilson was or track back so he was just fucking useless at it. It could have been Chelsea’s system and wingbacks making him look so poor mind. I feel like I still mentally view Gayle as the Championship version of him and am surprised at how rubbish he is every time he comes on as sub or starts.

Good teams often need a player like Jorginho. Someone who is far from sexy in terms of football they play but they are incredibly tactically aware. Henderson and Rodri another two examples. Yea, totally agree. I noticed similar in Reed for Fulham the other day too. We’re crying out for someone like that to replace Shelvey.

I’m still about a 6 as I have been since the Everton win (was certain we’d be down before that). The significance of the Wilson, Schar and Manquillo injuries really showed last night as the replacements and effect on play style was very clear. What I’m most worried about is how good Fulham look though. West Brom, Sheffield United, Us, Palace all look like teams that should go down. Fulham look like they could put a real run wins together and given they’ve got Burnley, Sheffield United and Palace in their next few I think things will look much differently in 2 months time.

Jorginho and Kovacic dominated the centre of the pitch last night. They’re absolutely light years ahead of what we have in both quality and tactical awareness. I personally think Jorginho is one of the most underrated players in the league. Chelsea look way better whenever he’s playing.

That perspective is just as blind as the guys saying it’s definitely going ahead. There’s arbitration looming and it’s been confirmed by pretty much every source. All parties are still interested in the deal. Me, like pretty much everyone else on this forum, is hoping we stay up until we know the outcome of this case. While there’s still hope in something better it makes sense to a vested interest in us staying in the league. If that goes to shit over the next 2 months and we’re faced with a future of Ashley and Bruce then who cares.

Even before the injuries this would have been almost impossible with their squad. Now Tuchel is in and we’ve lost a few of our big performers I could see it being really ugly tonight. It’ll feel about 10 times worse given how the results have gone too. Would love a draw
