Nah, that's Lacina Traore from Anzhi.
-
The Cissé deal was surprising at the time, but it's not impossible that we sign someone if we see value for money. I agree that it is unlikely, though. In the event of us spending real money on a striker I would expect it to be on Remy.
-
And Cissé. No need to panic.
-
Got Cissé in January, and we were not threatened then. I would be happy with a similar investment this window

Actually, 9. Sorry...

Norwich aren't a great side but they look more potent than the macums. I've seen them quoted at 3/1 which looks quite generous against a team with 9 points from 16 games and the leagues worst goal difference ?? The good thing for Norwich is that Hooper appears to have found shooting boots and that will keep their heads above water. Would be nice if they could beat Mackems next week but then the dilemma - happy to lose against Crystal Palace? What? Ok, maybe not lose to them as a choice, if it happens and Mackems lose it would be a softer blow - although it would cause issues with us staying in that pack at the top. Not for me. I will be overly disappointed if we don't get three points from this one.

I guess if Ashley had a street it would be called "Cheapo street". Nah, he would've "sold" the name. Sports Direct Avenue.
-
Yep, same as at Old Trafford. Hopefully we will dominate them. Who are considered their best players? I think Jedinak looks very good, Puncheon can also be a handful on his day.
-
"they have one more domestic loan signing, which is right up Ashley’s street" Isn't this (supposedly) opposite of what's up Ashley's street? Thought he didn't like loans in general.
-
I'd go as high as £10, but that's my final offer
-
I don't want to sell him now since we don't have a lot of options, just to make that clear
-
Yea, they seem to collapse lately. 0-5 at home to Liverpool is way worse in comparison though, just saw that Man City have scored 3 or more goals in every home game this season bar Hull. Bit of a digression there, but I would still have given him more time
-
Getting whooped 5-0 by your rivals in the league though. Getting hammered is one thing. Rarely looking like scoring all season is another. But yesterday the players had no heart. He looked like he had lost another dressing room. Yea, but Suarez in his current form is unstoppable. I agree, yesterday was inexcusable, but unfortunately these things happen from time to time with most teams, maybe more so if you are in a bad stint in a transition period. This season was bound to be a bit shaky, with a whole new squad coming in, and I think they should have given him more time.

Its very unlikely, I'd be amazed if we did, but I suppose West Ham's owners are insane and Allardyce isn't exactly one to care about club funds so you never know. I mean £17m for Andy Carroll in the state him and Liverpool were is was quite incredible. £15m for Cisse now would be worse than £35 for Carroll at the time imo. How on earth he could warrant such a sum now I don't understand, he doesn't contribute anything at all, an hardly has for a long time now. Would be happy if we got £6-7
-
Were they expecting every signing to dominate without needing time to settle? This team could (still can) be world class next season, if Soldado and Lamela gets going, and a CB next to Verthongen. Levy

Lee Gibson @Gippa1981 1h @CissePapiss My 10 year old son is your biggest fan and he would love to meet you for an autograph Papiss Demba Cisse @CissePapiss 45m @Gippa1981 hi Lee. U can bring ur son to the training ground. I'll be happy to meet both of u. Thanks

The thing for me is that I have (had) the perception of Remy to be the kind of lethal finisher that always slots home a 100%. When he misses two of those the disappointment gets amplified by my expectations of him

How could he not have done much more today? We were p*ssed on by Swansea and he later admitted that we'd tried to play too direct so had told the players to play a possession game against Man U where we bossed the game and won. Could he not have done the same again today? It looks like Southampton had almost as much of the game as Swansea had and they were the away team. I can't believe that he came up with a way to beat Man U a week ago yet couldn't even carry that into the next game. Please tell me what you would've done differently today, because from where I was sat it looked like we created twice as many chances as Southampton and on another day we'd have ran out comfortable winners. It's s*** like this that makes us look like mugs. We're f***ing sixth. Pardew will continue to make mistakes because every manager does, however today I can't really fault the bloke. Assuming no injuries or too much fatigue; Sub in HBA for Shola at around 60, keep Gouff and put Remy up top. If someone needed to get off, get in Sammy before any of the other. Alternatively take out Gouff and put in HBA. Papiss is such a massive liability, all he does atm is slowing down the play by running into offside.

Him and Sissoko were brilliant today, that right-hand side is really coming together nicely
-
I don't even think it's a confidence thing. I think he just wanted out in the summer and he's still sulking about it. Did anyone want him?
-
Might have some residual value in Germany, move him on asap. So bad it is scary, and a huge liability.
