  1. Of all the groundless predictions there has been (On the day we`ll find out one way or another). I think its logical to suggest that it`ll be on or before the 1st July. It would also be really unthinkable to not have some form of comment from the club whether Rafa`s on board or not. I`m of the opinion that, rather than it being a done deal or a Bishop inspired Ashley conspiracy, the position is that Genuine offers have being made / provisionally accepted but Ashley`s Ad-ons are dragging the situation out to what may ultimately be a failed bid (s). Some folk on here seem to give far too much credence to Bishop as if he`s some sort of master schemer. I think that while Ashley may well set the narrative its more by default than scheme as the general impression I get is that Ashley is a boorish oaf who`s impulses have at times cost him a lot of money & that the club remains both an irritant & a valuable source of revenue (At a time when most in the city are of the view that the high street is in steep decline). One which he wont let go unless he receives an offer he cant refuse. Sadly we may know where we are on the 1st but we may not know the truth on how we arrived there for months / years after.
  2. If we go into next season Rafaless with Fat man still at the helm, Im out.
  3. Look for the Greek version a few pages back
  4. That looks like the material for the match worn shirts. The stock punter version will be made out of polyester/paper/cheapshit materail
  5. Better than some of the projected mock-ups
  6. Amidst the Farrago of claim, counter claim & quasi-facts from anyone with an internet connection, GC is about the only one I give any credence to. If he says it could still all quite possibly turn to dogshit, that's good enough for me.
  7. There could always be an embargo on the the embargo?

  9. You just know when your sat there amidst the barrage of SD signage watching damage limitation football being played out by a, largely Championship, side in a crowd so benign you wonder if the pre-Ashley era crowds were all just a figment of your imagination, that your witnessing Sports Direct Soccer. A bit like real Football, but with 60% off
  10. 300k a year man...nice gig if you can get it.
  11. Charnley is incompetent, but its bizarre you have so much hatred for him compared to Ashley. You surely realise he can't lift a finger without consulting Ashley, the same probably goes for everyone else working at the club. Charnley is from the area. He shits on his own doorstep and doesn’t give a fuck. He`s not like
  12. ”NUFC fear Rafa Benitez could let his contact run down and leave the club in crisis.” Fuck right off. It's all Rafa's fault like.... Directly from Camp Ashley. Would that be a sequinned tight vested guy in baggy denim chaps mincing around the fireplace hoying up pink sick in a fluffy, high energy fireplace?
  13. ..You on about Hartlepool?
  14. Anyone got a battery for an Erikson T28?
  15. It's not like Ashley would be paying for it personally either. It's the club's money whoever the owner is Exactly. If they're leasing the space to an agency, it will be an extra source of revenue regardless of who owns the club. Ashleys only cost would be to remove the existing signs to prepare for electronic ones. Of course, its also possible that Ashley has paid for them & contracted NUFC for their use over a elongated period for buttons (Thus securing exposure for SD whenever he wants whilst simultaneously robbing the club of a valuable source of revenue - See Rangers). Alternatively, he might be fucking off for good & taking his shit with him
  16. Its quite plausible to imagine that the E-signs that (If that should be) are being installed will be paid for by an agency & leased to NUFC.
  17. He`s the best around in my opinion, I love his writing & he seems a really decent guy but if he`s holding back, I would really like to know why.
  18. There’s nothing obvious they know. Agree with reporting on the clubs ‘cleaning line’, he’s shot himself in the foot with the shit sarcasm though. Exactly what is pissing people off agree - not sure why these journalists/media guys get into personal snarky responses. It's a no-win situation for them Nah, not having this like. Their business is to seek out news & publish it. This isn't part of the official fucking secrets act man, or some high profile trial with restrictions tied all over it. So what if some rich businessman is selling a business to some rich Arabs? Its not even that its likely to be some sort of surreptitious, Illicit dodgy deal we`re talking about here. And lets not forget, they are the local journalists who should have the benefit of local knowledge ffs! As I see it, they're either not up to it enough to scoop the facts or they've not the bottle to go public with what they know.
  19. Few people saying they’re being replaced with the LED boards SD ones?
  20. Caulkin aside, I give a wide berth to most the current crop of journalists. Some of the utter dribble that's published (& often chronicled on here) begs belief. Someone posted this earlier, but I`m convinced forums like these are one their main sources of info. Either way, I totally agree with the sentiment that we`ll just hear an announcement out the blue & if it wasn't for the lad who scooped the company reg. yesterday we`d still be totally in the dark.
  21. how do you know about the meeting? i read about it last week, annual pl meeting which all clubs must attend, also any club changing ownership has to inform other clubs at the meeting, reasons to me are unknown ,im not one for digging the ins n outs Surely that cant be right. If you intend to sell the club its no business of any other clubs until its done. If that's true, I find it a bizarre requirement just what i read, should have saved the link really I read this too Marki, a few days ago. But can’t remember where either. Could have been a media report though so quite possibly absolute bullocks. It wasn't one of "the five things that need to happen for the takeover to go through" ...Was it?
  22. "Push the envelope" (I have no idea what that means btw)

  24. People generally don't incorporate in these circumstances until they need to. I've worked in plenty of processes where the binding bid document simply refers in general terms to 'a UK limited company, to be incorporated in due course' because it saves the hassle of setting one up and then closing it all back down again if the other conditions of the sale are not fulfilled. I'd disagree with that slightly. I agree that in a normal bid scenario you would establish the company and acquire within a few days. However I've seen clients establish just to reserve the name and then never use the company again. It's really not that much hassle - it costs £40 to incorporate a company (£120 same day) and not much more to terminate. For large corporates that's less than 15 minutes of legal fees. You wouldnt reserve the name of a company if you were a billionaire though? Especially since the name is irrelevant in this case.
