All good stuff and looking like they have finally got to grips with running the club. Lots of positives on and off the pitch and a lovely feel good factor around. And we might need that under soil heating very shortly.

All that matters is the here and now to me and at last we seem to have a club that is pulling in the right direction on all levels. Of course the board deserve their share of credit however more and more it looks like Pardew is the glue that is binding the club. Viva la revolution!

Great feel around the place yesterday which was lovely. Thought the atmosphere was better inside but still a shame that more people feel to shy or unwilling to have a bit sing. I sit bang in the middle of the Leazes and just wish a few more would join in and really get the place rocking. I understand it's not for everyone but loads of "youth and twenty somethings" around me who just want to sit in silence. Shame. Thoroughly enjoyed the game and a draw a fair result. Who else sighed when Shola came on? :-) Having watched the goals on Motd2, excellent running from Ba to be in the right place for the goal. Daughter dragged me to some place called Frateris or something and got me on cocktails. Thought they were just for girls but I must admit they were very nice. Overall a very happy bunny and can't wait for next week.

Would love to see that given a go but hard to see Pardew making two big changes to a settled team that's doing so well. -
Seemed to everywhere yesterday. Surely the new contract must be close.

Just watched motd2 and someone said about Pardew " he has brought calm to Newcastle". Very true. For all his other qualities he does also have this fantastic calm approach which I'm sure ripples throughout the club. Really loving Pardew and think he gives us our Best chance in a long long time of achieving something, be that Europe or a cup. Happy days

Please just stop. Mackem? No, you acting like a kid when you're in your 40's... Give over you bore! If you can't get excited and be "kid like" over football, especially when we are fourth in the league, then your pretty sad and dull in my book. Flipping Internet police! -

McDonald saying on the Legends that this morning papers have Santon out and Cabaye doubtful! Usually he is so far behind the news it's unreal. Anyone else heard this? -

Just too a yank to the airport. The stadium might get taken for granted if you live and work in Newcastle, but everytime I drive over Heworth roundabout on the way to toon and see it majestically there on top of the hill. Goosebumps man. -
I think a lot of fans have mid judged Pardew, but we are now beginning to here exactly how much time and effort he is putting in behind the scenes. Hope we beat Spurs and he gets a chorus of Pardew wonderland.

You have to laugh! A few weeks back I was dreading the first two games of the season and concerned with our "missing" striker. Now we are agonising about having Santine, Ben-Arfa and Marveaux on the bench!!! -

Excitement now kicking in for this (feels like months since we played). Didn't realise Sunderland were playing on TV before is Which should make for some pre game fun and hopefully a cracking atmosphere. Hoping the Pard effect can keep going. A nail biting 2-1 -

Cant really judge all foreign players by the 'well Cabaye coped with the pace' rule sadly. I have faith that Pardew knows more than us fans about Santons fitness and readiness to start. That's really what I was saying. Cabaye is a very good athlete / footballer and even he found it hard. I also trust Pardew on this. -

Keep hearing that foreign players need time to adjust to the pace of the premier league. Cabaye even said how fast he found it. If that's correct, would there be much advantage throwing Santon in against Lennon? -
Spot on. Deserves a hell of a lot of credit. The club definitely has a feel of Keegan 1 about it. Let the good times roll. They may not last long so ever fucker just enjoy it!!!

Two superb goals from 25 and 30 yards..... Wow. Sounds a good'un this lad.

It will be a successful transfer window if we have the same quality on the pitch after January than before. Not for me and I dont buy into this "selling club mentality" that you seem to be alluding too. Most clubs will take a deal if silly money is offered, Just as we Liverpool and Tottenham have done in recent years. That doesnt mean we are actively looking to offload our best players every window. I think we will see a striker come in and a decent defensive player and possibly some bit players leave.
