  1. I think players were scared of him last season because he looks scary like Mr T but have since realised he is just a big softy.
  2. Just had a look at the match report and he won the penalty for the first goal as well. Little diamond that he is should always be on the bench if fit.
  3. Thats the sort of thing I was hoping to hear......Lets just hope Pardew was there and takes note. Cheers chaps.
  4. Be interested to hear from anyone who was there how young Ferguson did, whether he played the full game and if he was left wing, how he combined with Santon?

    Alan Pardew

Canny interview. One of the things I like about Pardew is that he does give a good interview. He might not always think through everything he says but at least he has something to say.
  6. A diamond in the rough at NUFC. Yup. What we seem badly missing is a leader of sorts out there in the middle. Someone to shout, moan, cuddle, praise and spur the rest on. Dont know if that was part of Cabayes game in France or how his English is coming along, but someone needs to step up and take the role on.
  7. Cabaye must wonder what the hell he's done at the minute coming here. Tiotes gone to ruin, the strikers have no movement and the wingers do virtually nowt with the ball when they get it. Poor lad.
  8. Seems a no brainer to me. We are overrun in midfield and not creating goal scoring opportunities for whoever we stick up front. 3 in midfield it has to be with the wings occupied by whoever is playing well in training this week. Im not a Jonas fan anyway, but he looks lost to me at the minute as an attacking force so he would be out. If we dont start creating pretty quickly then we are just going to compound the pressure on the strikers and the rest of the team. I would go with... Krul Simpson -- Taylor -- Colochini -- Santon Tiote --- Cabaye Obertan ------------------------ Marveaux Gosling Ba
  9. I hate virtually everything about Shola and can not fathom how someone so poor has been at Newcastle (or any professional club) so long. Apart from being useless he is so lazy and it is fair to say my heart sinks whenever I see him anywhere near the team. Its sad to say but each time he gets a nasty tackle and goes down I get a little bit excited.
  10. Sometimes managers have to be brave. Santon at right back and Shane at left. I agree he is looks more like a winger but Im sure he would do better at LB than Taylor and Santon would do better than Simpson. At the moment though we are just not creating and he is someone who can create, cross or shoot and should definitely be seeing some game time against the lesser opposition.
  11. Its criminal that this lads not even making the bench. Is one of those players who can come on, whippet down the wing and get the ball in. Is also not afraid to have a go himself unlike some of the fannies around the box last night. Bring Back Shane!

    Alan Pardew

I agree with most of that, however a blind man on a galloping horse could see we were overrun last night and yet he didnt change it at half time. Obviously wasnt helped as well by some very poor displays from quite a few individuals.

    Alan Pardew

A Pardew fan up til now but he bottled putting out the best team (imo) and bottled making the right changes at the right time that could have snatched three points.
  14. Aye, completely overran by the three in the middle. Pardew got done tactically tonight. Sums up tonight for me.
  15. Well, just got in from the boozer and feel this is a game that was thrown away by the team selection. Surely Santon should have started, surely Marveaux was worth a bash, surely Sammi has earned a shot etc etc. The team selection for me was pants, as was the inability to change things around when it was so obviously going wrong. I usually like Pardew and his ability to change things but today I thought he was poor. Thats not distracting from a large collection of players who looked as though they just couldnt be bothered tonight. Cabaye was poor, as was Tiote, Jonas and the entire strike force. The defence did as well as they could bearing in mind they were shackled to the shite Simpson and Ryan Taylor. The only way IMO that Pardew can turn this around is by having the cahoonas to play the right people from the start. Be brave. Get Sinton in and Marveaux and Sammi.
  16. Aye, that plays a massive part in deciding the outcome of tonight's game. I can count on one hand the amount of times "If we win, we'll go up in the table to...." and "If we win, it'll be our greatest start/greatest run/most wins in x games" has actually come off Thats so depressingly true
  17. Really looking forward to this game after the depressing international break. Expecting Alan to have worked wonders with his smiling all week in training and have us all fired up for a great away win. Hopefully Best will continue to somehow find himself in the right place. Our problem of course is whether we can create chances or not I just hope that should Jonas start and prove unsuccessful, we dont wait all night before giving Marveaux or Ferguson a go. Think Ferguson will have no fear of Barton and would leave him for dead.
