  2. Some lead, others follow I guess Some know utterly fuck all about football and get ridiculed by the masses for a reason. You are contrary for the sake of it and it shows. Would you like to back that up? Thought Not I think my views on Pardew and most of the squad fall into a general line that most fans agree with. My only two real differences are HBA and Jonas. HBA hasnt done it yet and if he ever does I'll be delighted. But preferring Best and Ba that have done us so well this season is not really contrary is it? With regard to Jonas Im quite right in my opinion that his overall attacking game is very poor. Of course people can point to him protecting Taylor but in my opinion he still does not do enough when an opportunity arrives. In my view the best way to protect Taylor is to have a winger that is scaring the hell out of the opposition. Contrary in my eyes would be running round the Krul, Cabaye, Tiote thread claiming they are shit. What some people forget on forums is that they should express their own opinion whether it falls in with the popular view or not. Some are just too scared to stray from the fold.
  3. Just watched that Shane Ferguson skill against Stoke. Damn shame it didnt go in as it would have gone down as goal of the season.
  4. With regard to Cabaye.... 1. Its his first season and he's adjusting to our game. 2. He is playing in a team with two misfiring wingers. If he had Ginola where Jonas is and Solano where Obertan is Im sure we'd be seeing a much more Robert Lee style performance from him. Im sure once we get the wings working properly, Cabaye will come into his own.
  5. You want to see him start ahead of Jonas?? Have you got some motive other than football?? Have i missed something here? Do you have a certain ''keeness'' for the lad or summat? His ability to receive a ball out wide and cross into the box one touch later. His ability to scamper down to the bye line and whip balls in. His ability to win tackles (like Jonas). His ability to shoot. His ability to get stuck in and tackle. Surely looking through that he'd be a better replacement for Obertan, no? No. Obertan is at least getting forward and is still relatively new for us. Jonas cant attack. Virtually every game you will see him receive a ball on the half way line out wide and then freeze. I appreciate Im am a lone voice against Jonas but hey ho.

  7. At one time I would have agreed to a loan move but as we are so weak on the left, now is not the time to let him go. We know from last year just how much of a threat he can be down the left (for anyone whose forgot, have a recap on youtube), and he is always good cover for the left back spot. From what I have seen so far from Shane vs Sameobi, Shane is clearly ahead for me and its just a shame he suffered this injury. While Pardew wont grant my wish and play him instead of Jonas, at least having him on the bench gives us a chance to swap them if we decide we want to to try and create something down the left.
  8. Excited to see this lad start for the first team.
  9. Mehdi Abeid poised to make Newcastle debut
  10. Much as I dont like it, I can stomach player sales as long as we've had a couple of good years out of them, they've helped us move forward and we have an extremely good production line coming through.
  11. Why Ashley really is one of the good guys
  12. Not as a winger though. They're trying to contain his power.
  13. Na, but you'll be delighted to see Shane Ferguson's playing Over the moon
  14. If only he'd got some decent reserve performances in we wouldnt now be having these discussions.
  15. Seems like an eternity ago those last few days of the transfer window scratting around for a striker. Credit to the club for getting there eventually though. Sounds like a good prospect.
  16. Alan Pardew: Newcastle United are entering their rough patch
  17. There used to be a safety limit in the old days of 65MPH and i remember playing Sunderland at home in 1990 in howling gale and the press saying the game had been in doubt. Bloody hell 65mph. That's just a breeze
  18. Is that what you want to happen or what you think will happen? Either way - it is wrong. Assuming Tiote and Williamson don't make it, that's the side that would get us back to winning ways. We need to attack Swansea. With Obertan. First of all I havent given up on Obertan yet and not sure who we could play there that is more threat. Obviously I've left HBA off the wings as it seems AP or HBA doesn't want him to play there. IMO, and I know I'm a lone voice, part of the problem we have is that there is too much pressure on Obertan because everything is channeled down the right. If we can get an attacking threat down the left then I think we will be a much more balanced side.
