Ok, this one I'm not going to let go. Swansea have won 6, drawn 6 and lost 2 at home. We've won 7, drawn 5 and lost 2. thanx for taking the time.
-
We have two more points at home than Swansea. Shhh. lol fair enough
-
people are slagging off City, give some respect to the opposition swansea has got one of the best records at home, way better than ours.
-
swansea have a quality manager, plays great football fair play to them.
-
physioroom says he's back in a week's time?
-
oh dear someone's mad
-
A new signing. lol newsflash, transfer window is closed.
-
santon would an awesome right winger though. i laugh at people saying santon is better than raylor at left back, yet they want santon to play at right back. who you want as left back then?
-
Some would argue it's the other way around.. Definitely, Jonas was playing as basically a second LB the whole time Raylor was playing. It basically stopped his attacking play completely for months. haha if Jonas is playing second left back with Raylor who hardly pushes up. Then Jonas is first leftback with Santon playing mostly in front of him. I said for too long, lets give Santon a chance on the wings, if Pardew likes a winger who can attack and defend, I don't see any better candidate out of Obertan, HBA, Raylor than Santon himself.

we cant disagree with DelBoy he's being honest with us, at least he isn't bullshitting us and saying we won't sell any of our best players anymore. he's right anyway, if Arsenal a team that's been in the champions league consecutively for like donkeys years, can't even keep hold of their two best midfielders, Nasri and their captain Fabregas. Then we need to be more realistic.
-
The thing is with Santon at left back, you play him there and you zap away the forward runs of Jonas. Santon pushes up far too often and that leaves jonas to track back and cover him. With Raylor at left back, Jonas seems far more liberated and more likely to commit to roaming forward as he knows he doesn't have watch his back all time to spot and cover.

I have no problem with him being a squad player. I do have a problem with us extending his contract and at the same time pairing it with a statement of him being a fantastic fotballer and a key player starting week in and week out. Thats where the wheels come off for me, especially when you know who must sit on the bench for him to start. When announcing he's signed a new contract, you want the manager to say he's fringe at best, and should be sat on the bench most of the time? No, I would have no problems with such a statement if that was his standing in the squad. The problem is, the statement isnt just a motivational statement and sugarcoating of his position. It mimics Pardews opinion of him, genuinely being seen as a key player and fantastic fotballer by pardew and started every week if fit over options that would seem blatantly better by everyone on here save a few. The contract is a reflection on how Pardew plans to build a side in which Ryan Taylor is a key player. I dont particularily fancy such a prospect. Think you're getting paranoid mate. Doubt he's on high wages, and I think he's a useful player to have in the squad.

think this aint a bad deal. he's a limited player even as a defender, but sadly he is the best Left back we got. People can carry on creaming over Santon, yes we know he's a foreigner and is automatically deemed as more exotic and skillful, great at pushing forward and such etc.. but when it comes to purely defending, Santon has been found wanting, and that's being generous to the lad.

sunderland did not park the bus in the first half.
-
he seems to bring the best out of jonas, i cant remember jonas having a top game without raylor behind him, maybe the man utd game only. i think when santon plays behind jonas, that takes away the attacking threat from jonas because he's too busy watching santon pushing forward and need to cover his tracks.
-
and that is why santon got subbed, he didnt hoof it for pardew
-
as much as i detest hoofball, hoofball is actually something that would work well vs Arsenal. None of their defenders are particularly good with dealing with aerial threats. but having said that, there's nothing wrong with hoofball if it's done properly having the right players. when we hoof it to our strikers, they just can't make it stick and loses the ball, and when they try flick it on, there's nobody to run onto the the ball as our midfield is way too far away from the strikers. There's only one player we got that can keep the ball when we hoof it and that's Best and he's injured. i would play a backline of raylor colo willo simpson, and the midfield 4 of jonas, cabaye, tiote, santon with HBA behind Ba. Im tempted to start guthrie instead of cabaye because he has been poor.

hahahaha that pardew interview looked so rehearsed , can't stop laughing, it was like a drama audition, omg wtf

No one passed the ball to him.

tbf I think she's on the phone. -
I'm his biggest basher, but i thought he did alright, in fact i don't remember him doing his famous shitty longballs today. if I'm not mistaken?
-
was surprised how good his right foot was today. crossed pretty good considering it's his weaker foot, if im not mistaken.
-
you know what for the ones that have a go at us the 'pardew bashers.' My anger is rarely about the scorelines, it's always about how we play. Do i think we deserve more than one point today, no. Do i think we have the automatic right to always beat teams like, fulham, swansea, wba, wolves, norwich, etc. no, i really don't. But i do expect us to look remotely like a football team for at least more than 40 minutes a game. that ain't asking for the world.
