  1. Pop him out wide and play Remy upfront then. Either way Cisse needs to sit for a bit, maybe that will light the fire under him again. His hold out over the summer over the stupid Wonga logo, which set him back, and his subsequent poor start, should have him coming off the bench for now. yeah i agree. Think its worth trying. but sadly some (inochi) believe its blasphemy because we just had the most impressive win ever over aston villa, therefore changes are not allowed. Putting Gouffran into the side will change the whole dynamic of the front 3. It might need to be tried, but tbh I can understand why Pardew is reluctant to change it just yet. Cisse still looks more of a natural CF than Gouffran, and Remy looks a better bet out wide. Think Remy would be very useful in the middle right now, we saw what Gouffran can do when he came on. He can run the channels and has the odd trickery too. He can do the job for us there no doubt. And Remy can provide the goals and movement in the middle which we have lacked for quite a while.
  2. so who is our number 10? Cabaye is not. I know some like to use him in that way and he might do ok, but he is more of a xabi, alonso pirlo type of mould. not in the same class of course. Our number 10? HBA, Marveaux? We put HBA there then we simply do not have anyone close to his ability that can play wide right.

  4. My formula? Common sense, you mean? We had the option to play our sole summer signing, an exciting player who would allow us to effectively redeploy our most effective formation. A player who changed the game against Fulham. Bit of a no brainer, really. Let's just keep that going and see how it turns out, before we 'try something different'. Cisse in the middle at the moment doesn't give us enough, i'm not talking about lack of goals from him, but the movement from him does not provide us what we need in 'our most effective formation' Maybe you are happy to see him goal hang for another 90mins and fluff his shots thats if he doesn't get caught offside. But my patience has worm thin. Guess our mileage differs
  5. going by your formula we should had just stuck with the same line up vs fulham.
  6. like us to try something a bit different. a front line of Gouf, Remy, HBA.
  7. Bit early for motd son. Shearer great player, terrible pundit.
  8. When you're being pressed you have to play it long sometimes, should be f***ing obvious. Obviously not. Obviously I was talking about the times he was not pressed, thought that would be obvious.
  9. Average at best. Game past him by a bit, played further up the midfield, managed to get in one of his trade mark horror tackles.
  10. Deserves cred for finally figuring out a decent line up. Still a cretin.
  11. Other than Cabaye and Cisse, everyone played well. Krul was dodgy too at times. Really losing patience with Cisse , throughout the match when we had the ball , he never comes short for the ball. Always going long and hanging on the shoulders of the last defender. So easy for defenders to deal with. No wonder he gets caught off side, looking more and more one dimentional this boy. Colo can cut out some of those Hollywood balls as well. I was really frightened of the thought of agbonlahor ripping debuchy a new one, but thankfully debuchy had a good game.
  12. I think he means football maturity, as in knowing and striking the balance of when to be selfish and when to be selfless with the ball.
  13. how much of the money Ashley 'invested' had actually been recovered?
  14. He's found his level to be fair.
  15. i know a lot of people are upset and disappointed with the lack of transfers and rightly so. lets be real though, no matter who we might had signed, soon as Jonas and Tiote are available they will be straight back in the starting line up. And Ameobi will be the forever removable object from the match day squad.
  16. I think you're missing the point. Sure, we're not spending next seasons inflated money. I get that. Why though can't we spend this seasons? What we spend in January was surely last seasons because we spent almost nowt the summer before, so where's that gone? In fact, over the last 5 years we have a net spend of 0. Behind every other club in the league. Here, have a look: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html We're not spending any of our TV money ever, so what gives you the remotest confidence that Ashley is going to do anything other than trouser next years as well? Well he does own the club and he can trouser as much money as he wants. Its his money after the fans hand it over. If you dont like the product he provides dont buy it. Its as simple as that. A football club is not the same as any other business! Its a cultural institution that has represented the city of Newcastle for over 100 years. It has been part of some peoples entire lives and is much more than a 'if you don't like it don't spend your money.' Newcastle United is not Mike Ashley's regardless of if he owns it or not. yeh like 99.9% of football club owners actually gives a shit.
  17. I can imagine something worse. Like having numpties similar to the ones that brought Blackburn. One tight git leaves and another comes in, they might even relieve JFK of his duties hurray! Who needs a DOF right? Then we can save more money also by keeping Pardew because of his 'modest' wages compared to the rest of the prem managers. Pards get let loose on transfer targets but still on a tight budget, he brings in all 6foot 5"inches of pure 'footballing' specimens. Hoofball heaven and then eventual relegation. Pards leaves and another guy takes over that we never heard of. etc etc...
  18. Going by your scenarios. The longer Pardew stays that means the longer we will have JFK. Only way of JFK leaving nufc is if Pardew walks/get sacked, then JFK takes over gets us near or actually relegated then he himself gets relieved of his duties. Thats why im in favour of Pardew going, lets get this over and done with. Its going to happen eventually anyway.
