  1. I wouldn't say we fluked it, we did dominate. I only remember 1 good shot all game and that was the goal which, despite said domination, still felt completely out of the blue. We had 21 shots but only 4 on target. The shooting was poor but I'd say our main problem was crossing. The first half we had so many opportunities down the left wing, cut right in on the edge of the box at the byline and had it cleared, got to be scoring from there - could have have several if Jonas picked out passes there instead of just giving it to them to clear. The first half was there for the taking as QPR had absolutely no ambition of getting out of their own half, we failed abysmally to capitalize by concentrating solely on attacking down their right hand side having no cutting or composure from either Jonas or Santon. We didn't bother to try anything through the middle or their left side, then again no wonder why when the manager decides to have 3 defensive midfielders in the center of the park and Simmo and Cisse down one side. Diabolical tactics considering the opponent we were facing.
  2. There is no way he believes all his spiel. No way. It's all about keeping the pr train on the track. He's basically toughing it out till we win a couple of games on the trot. That interview alone - started with his hand over his mouth, touching his nose, 2 goes at the ear. All signs of discomfort. Exactly, body language of his today tells a complete different story to what he is saying. He knew he avoided a big shitter today.
  3. as predicted, blowing his own trumpet, self promoting, oh-look-at-me style interview. Jesus the man that was asking the question said "do you agree that people are saying Newcastle are in a false position in the league with the way they been playing...?" no doubt Pardew agreed WTF, who are these people?
  4. Agreed, I think that is pretty much what Pardew will do.
  5. more like QPR did not deserve anything, they were shocking and we were slightly better.
  6. Fair enough, Pardew's starting line-up was a mistake today, just like almost every game he set's out.
  7. he'll last more than 30 mins. But im stating if we have to play 4-4-2.
  8. Nah ive always said it with the limited options we've got, if Pardew has to play two men up front and go long like he loves to, it should always be Ba with Shola, or Cisse with Shola, because then you got two different types of forwards that offer the opposition's defense different things to defend against. Shola is incapable of starting football matches, it's as simple as that. Nonsense, he's a better options than the mediocre partnership of Ba and Cisse.

  10. I agree with some of that. But he should be credited at least for making the changes when he realized the side he put out in the first place was not playing good enough. He still continues to smash both Ba and Cisse in the line-up, thus forcing Cisse out wide. Things like that should not continue when he has tried the same thing over and over and failed.
  11. right off to the supermarket to get some milk, hopefully there is still some left, don't want christmas without my cuppa.
  12. if we continue to play like the first half then we need that cutting edge from a final ball, only player that might provide us that is Marveaux.
  13. It's good to have a mixture of course in an ideal would, but in nufc alan Pardew's world we either pass it slowly and when we get to the penalty box we're lost for ideals, or we decide to hoof it up the penalty box and again same result lose any idea of what to do with the ball when we're up there.
  14. apart from their defense, QPR has been absolute w*** today, they allowed us to pass it around at will, yet we still haven't manage to muster a true clear chance. Bit alarming. Positives. no hoofs yet, only seen one single floater from Simmo.
  15. If we have to play 4-5-1/ 4-3-3 I'd still have this meat head outwide rather than one of our strikers like Ba or Cisse
  16. I can only guess that they both prefer to play than sit on the bench, unless you can convince me otherwise. Well i believe neither of them like playing next to each other as they're constantly making the same runs and running into each other. And neither likes playing out wide as they are pure strikers. No players likes sitting on the bench but that's part of football unless you can convince me otherwise. Besides how does other teams manage to have over 4 strikers yet they don't have to keep them all happy by starting them all at the same time?
  17. No, not to the detriment of the team. What makes you think both Ba and Cisse playing equates to making them happy? lol
  18. Keeping our only two forwards happy doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. FYP What about Shola he needs to be kept happy. What about other teams that have four/five strikers, do they have to play all four of them to keep them happy?
  19. Keeping our best two forwards happy doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. Weak squad both have to play.. no other choice really thats just as short sighted as a limited manager like Pardew is.
