  1. Keeping our best two forwards happy doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. To the detriment of the team? Bad idea to me.
  2. I see people here are still sharing the same fascination as Pardew of having to must squeeze both Ba and Cisse into a line-up.
  3. Can just link any striker to us in the summer tbf.
  4. Obviously class is permanent and the boy will be back to his best, think he just needs to stop worrying about getting cards and play his game.

Pardew tells us we are not a long ball team , statistics are misleading as he says. We believe you Pards lol

Club going on full throttle pr campaign to attack Ba? Covering their asses when they sell him so they then tell us they had no choice because he was so desperate to leave. No need, most of us know he's more trouble than he's worth, but I wouldn't be adverse to keeping Ba as well as signing Remy. Who would lol
  7. He looks more and more like the Parker we had. Awesome for a season and then turned into a player that just twist and turn with the ball , turning and turning like a carousel.

He is quality. He was a starter for the french team before his injury just before Euros. He had several setbacks after that and missed the start of the season with Marseille. Since l'OM was in good form without him, he's still on the bench... How much sure are we that he is fit? he is completely fit. His problem is just confidence. like our Cisse at the moment?

easy to hit on the break at 4-4-2. at any formation full stop. We're not, though. When we play with two banks of four we're dreadful to watch because it exposes the crapness of whoever's out wide and leaves us going front to back, but we're not as easy to hit on the counter, no way in a million years. we are easy to counter 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 because the manager thinks its really clever to put players like Cisse out wide, its no wonder why we get exposed down the flanks. But when we play HBA there, Pardew also gets criticised by some on here because he has the audacity to expect HBA to follow the opposition's full-back's runs. he really can't win with some. Yep. err no lol. He can win, who complains about HBA being out wide? Other than morons? Hba is more than capable of holding his own out wide in 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. I certainly have no complaints of him being there. He's no tough tackler or what you call a typical workhorse, but he has the capacity move up and down the flanks adaquately.

yeh then went staight back to 4-4-2 at half time. "Then we went to 4-4-2 and we looked so much better for it and I do not think any fan could argue with that" Actual quotes btw. How is what he said wrong there? We have started the last 3 games playing 433. The quote above is particularly about the Fulham game, and unless you are blind, you'd know that we actual had our best period in that game after half time when we went 442. Nitpicking at its highest! That post was in response to littlelunchbox (ffs) not being happy with that change. Blame him. I really couldn't give two f***s on what clever quotes that can be drawn out of Pardew's arse, because it's just his usual sweet talking salesman bullshitting that he always does,. he has never really played an orthodox 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 its always some mixture of some frankenstein freaky s*** like Cisse or Ba or Best or whoever the hell he wants mash into the formation to be played outwide. as far as i can remember maybe vs Everton at Goodison. thats it, yeh it fell flat on its arse in the first half, but that is just about as much time he has ever given it, 45 minutes.

Depends really. Much of our best football last season in a 4-3-3 was playing a counter attacking game - sitting deep and waiting for the right opportunity to break. That's ideal for the likes of Coloccini. At home against sides who set out to frustrate i'd agree with your assessment and it's probably the main reason why we don't see the likes of Cabaye breaking into the box in the way Nolan used to - which is why it would be so great to get in a centre-half with some genuine power and recovery pace. there a big reason why our CB look so freaking slow, not only are they not naturally fast, they're are usually fucking knackered from every little freekick we get, they run their ass up into the oppositions penaltie box, only for the freekick or corner to be floated in aimlessly at some bean pole who can't a win header to save their lives. Things like that can be extremely demoralising and tiring for any player mentally if not physically.

Exactly even if he is suited for the wide role you can bet Pardew won't be playing him there, the man just has a habit of playing forwards where they're not suppose to be. There's no sign of changing either.

    Loïc Remy

He sounds like a direct replacement for Ba, has the same attributes, a goal poacher. Do not see him as an ideal forward to play out wide. His passing, creativity and crossing is just as average or non-existance as Ba and Cisse. Then again that has never stopped Pardew.
  18. Then you shouldn't have f***ing signed for Pardew. You forgot salesman Pardew. Tells players he likes his team to play great football , gets them to sign, and the then they realised he was bullshitting. Wouldn't you want to leave a manager who you can't trust?
  19. Can't disagree with anything he said, to be fair I would also want to leave if I had to play for coach like Pardew. Life is too short, especially a footballers career, and one that has a dodgy knee. Cannot blame him if he wants to maximise his career. Clearly the way he's gone about it leaves a bit to be desired but he's telling it like it is and i kind of appreciate it, atleast this will start the wheel of motion forcing Pardew's hand on having to deal with our frontline situation. Lets be honest it always take something to force Pardew's hand before he actually makes any significant changes. Poor traits of a poor manager to be fair.

Well if Remy comes in and Ba does go, surely that'll mean Cisse back down the middle and Remy left of the front three. Wishful thinking but I doubt it, this is Pardew we're talking about, he will play upfront with Cisse , maybe slightly behind.

It's getting creamy in this forum again.
  22. So much will depend upon the availability of Ben Arfa and/or Cabaye. Not so much for the games against the big boys, but the awkward ones like Southampton at home, where they're well-organized and will probably set out to frustrate you a bit. Ben Arfa and Cabaye will be able to break them down, but it's a totally different kettle of fish without them. Weirdly, I think you will get something out of Arsenal - maybe even a win. QPR is a fascinating game - and frankly I think it's a terrible time to play them. Fellaini will be a massive bonus if he misses your game. I have you beating Arsenal, Reading, Norwich, and drawing with QPR and Everton. Beating Southampton would then make that a relatively decent return, but not great. beating arsenal, yeh you wish.
  23. Couple more need to steal our jobs, preferably centre back and at right back. what about the manager's job that is ripe for pickings.
