If a team came to him and said we want you to be the main man, at Newcastle you are going to just be a cog I could completely understand the pull. I will accept him being moved on in the summer with exciting replacement, he is not ideally suited to teh high press we play but I will still be really sad and hope he seizes a place in the squad with performances like Tuesdays because he has all the capability in the world to be great but he needs to get relentless in providing end product.

The urgency is essentially if Longstaff or Bruno get injured we just don't have the cover in the area. Equally i think we can do all out pressure everywhere we can't do slow the game down pass slowly at times. It's mainly as cover or to replace Longstaff and allow Bruno move further forward. The reason it's urgent is how panicked we all were at Bruno getting injured we are light in the middle, a good passer with some creativity some grit is needed imo.

Howe and club still have plenty trust in the bank for me to suspend my reservations. Still think defensive mid was important...

Looks like the Danjuma deal has been hijacked by Spurs so doubt Everton will sell anyway

it definitely seems some players can put the ball where they want to when they make a pass but as soon as a switch in their head says they're making a shot they seem to approach it very differently. Obviously you rarely put your laces through a pass so that will be different but if he was willing to just pass it into the net i'm sure he'd score a few more, there was definitley a shot against Crystal Palace where he whacked it but straight at keeper when a side foot pass either side of keeper would likely have done. I'm sure loads of players could suddenly become double figure goal scorers if the I'M GOING TO SHOOT BETTER WIND UP THE LEG AND PREPARE TO WHACK IT AS HARD AS I CAN switch could be turned off in their heads.

I would think considering Eddie's playing career he probably is extra conscious of taking care of injuries properly

Bielsa would be ok for them already relegated and rebuilding from ground up, did a fine job with leeds, terrible for resuscitating a disillusioned team trying to keep them up
-
Having said all that not sure we're ever going to concede another goal
-
Well disappointing but going to have these, our attack hasn't been firing brilliantly for a few games and they defended well. Not the end of the world.

Lucky big joe didn't tear his head clean off tbh

Pope saves!

Come on joelinton wrong choice
-
Joelinton reminding us why he's not a striker there hah should have done better, brilliant run from Schar
-
It's so weird seeing our players attempt one touch passing, and being brave in posession still, so many years of just being unable to hold onto the ball and if there was any pressure at all backwards it would go
-
Miggy maybe should have scored that wonderful play from bruno and willock
-
Incredible to be playing one week after having your leg amputated
-
Whatever else that chipped goal against schmeichel was a thing of beauty
-
His falling out with Brighton might have influenced things we are very keen on the no dickheads policy

Grew up in a relatively posh middle class family in North Yorkshire that was not at all interested in sport apart from tennis (I was actually ok at it). Only real football experience was got taken to a Middlesbrough match randomly in corporate box with dad who doesn't care about footy at all either. I was the nerd skipping sports at school to go to the library to play magic the gathering. Went to Uni in newcastle and football supporting new friends got me dragged into watching sport. Best mate was geordie took me to some games and got me addicted. This was however the first Ashley season we went down so picked a hell of a time to get involved...

their fans were lobbing coins down at us below once at a crystal palace game, know melts in most fans do it but was noticable with them

Honestly, these lot are demoralized and not playing that well, I would seriously consider starting Wilson and Isak in the formation we used at the end of the fulham game and just go for the throat. Harsh on Willock who would lose out but equally he has been playing a lot of games so a rest may not be the worst thing in the world.

Salah doesnt graft that much at Liverpool either

Checked Palace forums and they seem very depressed. It's amazing how I still can't quite shake the 'how are we going to manage to lose this' anticipation of games, so deeply is it ingrained. Potential loss of Bruno is big. I would totally consider the 4-4-2 we ended this game with mind since they seem low on confidence.

god I hope the why aye wheel falls through, apocalyptically terrible idea, or am I alone on that? Just think will be a horrible eyesore. All good points on Everton. For the record very good mate who watched a lot of sports with is a big Everton fan and watched a few games with him in past so I alone it seems actually have a slight soft spot for them as a team, but boy it has been difficult not to laugh recently. He is basically me last season under Bruce now.
