We have one slump and suddenly or players are garbage? Got to say sure if the anger in here is ott. We have been over performing, bruno will be back things will get better but the squad needs a lot of work and the owners have always been very clear they aren't rushing it
-
Good goal, hopefully can win from here with a rocket from Eddie at half time
-
What is going on with our defence? Poor.
-
Badly missing Bruno yeah but no need to panic yet
-
Get in. Moments of huge quality throughout this Chelsea yeah but still lol very much a wip and think they will for a long time
-
They're beige kit rather suits potter's beige brand of football

Slightly feel for him, gets his shot at premier league and its with a rubbish team on their way down. Clearly hasn't paid attention to any media training he has been given though and done himself no favours with fans or even his own players with some of the crap he has spouted. That's plain bonkers. Reminds me of John Carver's claims to be the best manager in the premier league some of the crap he's come out with
-
Everyone knows football was invented by the premier league how can there be goals before?
-
Taylor report really is a must read. Also see i just got a message saying a post from 9 years ago just got liked in here, don't remember making it, and boy it's maybe my sweariest post ever

We own the stadium, not the land which is essentially owned by the council and we have use of it basically permanently if I am right?

There seems to be some confusion on this so, essentially the FFP rules as are link how much you can spend to revenue, i.e. how much you bring in be it tickets or sponsorship deals. Man City owners cannot therefore put infinite money in because the revenue will stay the same. So the owner surrepticiously pays a third party to then sponsor the club effectively inflating the revenue and allowing that money passing from the owner, to the sponsor, and then to the club to then be essentially laundered for free use by the club. It is not banned for sponsors to give the club money, or for owners to give the club money, all this is intended is for spending to be capped at genuine revenue as opposed to fake revenue

I imagine it will be a while and then City will take anything to CAS which will take a while. I would be very surprised if this doesn't drag on for a long time before any punishment hits
-
Hope he's ok awful

All the noise from the club is they want to do this properly, build slowly, no outrageous chelsea style spending sprees, building academy etc, hell we even signed Brighton's director of football. If this is the truth and there aren't any secret slush fund paying eddie howe this is good for us. Crazy spending at the top needs to be stopped, it is inflating the market and isn't good for the football in the long term. What is obscene is how out the blue and singular this is. What Chelsea are doing is obscene. Inflating all the transfer costs is bad news all round apart from the smart clubs they are paying these figures too

I thought gender reveals stopped after one burned down Califorina

Yeah used to like him and thought he had a good sense of humour for a manager and that seems to have completely sucked out of him. I wonder if it's time for him to move on just out of his sanity, it appears to be doing him no good. Football wise he will get them going again I am sure but it doesn't look any fun there
-
I think he was focusing on proving he can do the defensive work, which he can but isn't particularly great at and didn't produce any moments of genius in attack. He definitely gets a load of stick a way other players don't. I suspect he will be starting behind Gordon and I am fine with that, unfortunately I just don't see ASM reacting well, he'll be gone in summer imo but we need more than 1 good winger per side.

Oh I am aware it makes no sense as a take, it's not meant to be a serious complaint. I think it's just selective from when I've watched match of the day, or when i watch you get hammered by city in a pub and then never bother watching when you win boringly or something. It's more just slight frustration of us being very consistent and not letting in goals and still not clear of teams...

Top 4 will probably require a drop off from Man U or Spurs, the latter will probably improve with injured players coming back. Man U will probably lose form at some point. Brighton look very very good right now, though I doubt they will sustain it for entire second half of season. We remain really really tough to beat which means we will keep accumulating points at a reasonable rate but can see us dropping more points until Bruno is back. It will be a slight disappointment now if we don't make top 4 but the truth is it is very early, the squad is not deep, just see how much we play Jacob Murphy. We absolutely still have a chance but I think I am below 50% in my head anyway. The squad knows now what is required to get top 4. Any of them under any illusions about the really high consistency of performance for the whole season needed should be dispelled. I am still annoyed at Man U and Spurs being close to us, they seemed to spend a lot of the season being utterly rubbish, and we won loads and only lost once and still they are there. I know we draw too much but it scrambles my brain a bit. We have never once in this season been terrible. Our only loss we didn't deserve.
-
Not good enough for finishing in top 4 performance, but equally think this may be inevitable, squad looks tired.
-
Maxi wasn't great but i didn't think he was lethargic, was tracking back but wasn't very threatening
-
Absolute rubbish Joelinton there
-
This. We have been brilliant but it is also overperforming and dips are inevitable.
-
People have no reason to be angry, I think we are in a very slight slump of intensity probably from tiredness. Bruno is a huge miss. Every chance we win this still and West Ham have been good since the first 10 minutes
-
Noone gambling on asm doing anything there
