And some posters thought some of us were crackers when we said Jonas should play in the centre Nearly all his attributes are geared towards playing in the middle, iam just imagining how awesome we would look if we had fullbacks who could play Anyway absolutely fantastic first half hope we can keep it u and i hope Colo's injury isnt too bad.

CM. Yep we need an extra CM that can make things happen and if last week is anything to go by then Pard's might be switching to a variation of 4-3-3 so i dont see a problem.

I think we will get raped down the wings with that formation. Would much prefer to see us take the game to them with Perch as left back and guthrie and cabaye in the middle... Ba and Ben Arfa will be a little wider than shown, but in any case i agree for us to stop thier wing play the fullbacks will need alot of help from the central 3 to come across and cover. -

Guthrie is shite defensively which is what you must compare our midfielders on because they dont create lol, we play with 2 DM's 2 CF'S and 2 Wingers which is why the play is so disjointed. Guthrie might spread play well and pass nicely but quite frankly he isnt close to Cabaye when it comes to defensive work and he needs to do in our system currently. Which is why its so important that in the summer that we buy a player that links between the attacking players and Tiote and Cabaye. Guthrie has passed it better than Cabaye yes but Cabaye has been playing as a DM practically all year long which explains why hes tackle completion stats are so high ( only bettered by Fellaini). -
this thread over last week or so has been f*ckin hilarious also i dont see why cant beat this lot next week and possibly go 11 points clear of them lmao oh Jose dont you look stupid now and i quote....... “This club will never again fight to be among the top six with this policy.” - Jose Enrique on #NUFC (2011)

Fingers crossed. Heres hoping so, 8 points clear of Liverpool and level on points with Chelsea would be massive. -
Yes but Mbiwa is extremely fast so no more getting outdone for pace in behind Krul claims all the crosses anyway From what i have seen Vertonghen would be the worse partner for Colo because hes far too similar he would be someone to buy to replace Colo but not to partner him. Douglas or Mbiwa would be both fantastic but i want Mbiwa personally. Yh Skeletor hes supposedly has a 5m buyout clause simarly to what Cabaye had would be a fantastic bit of business if so.
-
Me want he's the CB i want over any other ( yes above Douglas and Vertonghen) mainly because i believe he would be the perfect partner for Colo and his price is well within our policy. Santon-Mbiwa-Colo-Pieters BTW i highly doubt Arsenal are interested in any CB's, CB's is not thier problem lack of depth in midfield and at fullback is thier problem...... They have Vermealen, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Djourou and some other promising kids, CB isnt the problem its outside of Sagna thier fullbacks are utter crap and they dont have no real DM.

Our lack of pace and thier abundance of it makes me very negative about a high line working well. -

Would mean a 4-3-3 too so hopefully less hoofball You blatently know Simpson will be fit tho -
I can actually see that Luiz transfer happening at some point in the future he has been fantastic since Di Matteo took over and clearly has the ability he just needs to learn when to play and when to defend. Reminds me so much of a Young Lucio so i dont think Barca wanting him is too far-fetched also they wanted him before Chelsea signed him. Plus in Spain its played at alot slower speed on average than it is over here so he want make as many mistakes.

Our best spell of the season (imjh) came when Tiote was injured and Guthrie was paired with Cabaye. We didnt play like Stoke then We beat Stoke with that pairing if that's what you mean. No i mean we didnt hoof the ball up to Ba at every opportunity during that period. -
