Right folks we have found the key to Sunderland's form, stop them from counter attacking and they are worse than Wigan. BTW Everton would be playing Liverpool a day before the Hillsborough Anniversary Canny timing that.
-
Sounds like someone we know
-
This is going well so far, just need Spurs to win but not too comfortably, cant have them gaining confidence in the fight for 4th now can we
-
Everton is who we want to win, one thing Sunderland need to get out ASAP to end any pipe dream of them getting europe and Liverpool always seem to beat Everton..... Sorry Neil
-
I hope you smash them

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?
Mole_Toonfan replied to Dave's topic in Football
It was actually Ballack who took control of the midfield in that game. He should have won the wpoty that year after that amazing year with Leverkusen and getting Germany to the WC final too, but like you said Ronaldo won it for being Ronaldo and having one good tournament. Yh i should have explained myself, Zidane didnt do this often enough but his wonderful goal was enough to lead Madrid to the treble. As for Ballack he was wonderful player in his prime, iam 22 and i still havent seen a more complete midfielder. Did i right that, watching Revista atm and talking about Messi and when Barca won the treble...... I am blaming Balague, editing now -

I am really looking forward to seeing Kagawa, Reus and Gotze in tandem next season should make for a very sexy while extremely effective attacking trio.

One of the reasons i remain confident, but we need to be incredibly consistent between now and the end of the season and when we play Chelsea avoid defeat at all costs to have a chance. If we beat Liverpool on Sunday we will be 11 points clear of them and that will be more than ever i could imagine at the start of the season anything more to that to me now is a bonus.

World Player of the Year is a popularity contest, its normally won by the flavour of the month ( ie who impressed the most at a WC or Euros) the fact Diego Milito who had a fantastic year in 2010 one of the main catalysts for Inter's treble wasnt even nominated tells you how much it should be listened too. Xavi has controlled a game of football like no one i have ever seen and won everything there is to win and probably one and if not the best CM's to play the game. Zidane was fantastically gifted magestic AM who excelled in major international tournaments for France, but at club level his career can be likened to a highlight reel he did some unbelieveable things but he didnt win what he should have done and apart from the CL final against Leverkusen he didnt grab the most important games by the scruff of the neck like he should have done. Make your own mind up, but they are both amazing players and will go down in history and i for one would have liked to see them play in the same team. -
Ah cheers all this Solid as a rock talk from the media should provide us with a decent profit then, the question who will be stupid enough to do it?
-
How much did we sign him for? and Yh i wouldnt mind seeing Tavernier as back up to Santon.

I wanted to deck my Arsenal fan mate who joined me at the derby. Sat there whinging on about Ben Arfa would never get into his team. That might be my opening topic next time we meet up for a drink and have a football chat. I bet you had a right laugh when he smashed one past Scezesney.

expect Enrique to get a warm reception at first, then maybe a few boo's when the game gets underway (see Les Ferdinand etc), but Carroll to get booed, abused and jeered throughout. No doubt Henderson will get 'you're just a sad mackem b******' at some point and Bellamy will also be jeered. I reckon Enrique will be jeered from the minute he steps out to warm up. I also wish we wouldn't boo Suarez. Refuse to acknowledge his presence and just laugh at him instead when he dives. certain of this tbh used to love the bloke, left a really bitter feeling with the way he went about his move...and now he's a c***, albeit a f***ing class full back c*** How i feel tbh, i actually still have respect for Carroll he didnt say any shit when he left and i think its clear that unlike Enrique he didnt want to leave and we and him we forced to part ways because of the cash involved. I have lost all respect for Enrique as a man after how he left us with quotes like " i will only leave Newcastle for Barcelona" and " the club will never finish top 6 again " and other vile shit. That's without ignoring the fact we made him who he is today as a footballer if it wasnt for us he would still be in Villarreal's reserves.

Yep sounds like the plan...... Santon at RB, Simpson out and someone brought in at LB. I dont necessarily want Simpson out, just relegated to the bench but it does seem like this is what we will see happen. I like to see FB's playing on their natural wing, in accordance to their stronger foot. Two-footed FB's, who are equally efficient & confident off both feet in a pass & move gameplan, are a rare find. When playing the ball out of defense, a rightfooted FB playing at LB (or vice versa on the other flank) will usually check back to the stronger foot & release the pass. That little bit of extra time spent on the ball spells trouble in your own defensive half, when there's an aggressive & sliding defensive press snapping at their heels all the time (courtesy of the frontmen: one providing immediate pressure FB from the inside, and the other sliding over/covering the inside ball back to the centre half). Underhit sideline-hugging balls (off the weaker foot, as they shield themselves from the pressing defender/s) is a problem to. Arfa, when he drifts inside & inevitably coralled by numbers, is in desperate need of an easy-to-find wide outlet. Given that the two Demba's appear to be dialled into HBA's creative wavelength (they're working the angles around the box) there's more room out wide for a muruading FB. To at least provide support. HBA wouldn't be a 'one man show' out wide right, which is the team's current predicament because Simpson provides bugger-all in the way of a get-out-jail outlet (or option) for the RW. Completely agree, it really does annoy me how Simpson almost brings attacks to a stand still when he gets the ball, the potential of Ben Arfa on the right side of a front 3 and Santon marauding from RB is massive it would pretty much be our version of Messi & Alves. And i wouldnt worry about it defensively because in a 4-3-3 a midfielders job is to cover the runs that are made, when you look at Barca everytime Alves goes forward Busquets drops back and Yaya did the same when he was there i would expect the same from Tiote or who ever it is who would be assigned to that job.

Depends really, if Spurs and Chelsea drop points again and we win then i think 4th might be back on again and then every game will be as important as the one that preceded it...... I will take more enjoyment out of winning this more than any other game tho...... 1. I despise them racist c*nts 2. Going 11 points clear will bring a massive smile to my face and force me to go all out troll mode. 3. Enrique and Carroll will look like right twats ( especially Enrique)
