He was, but he's 24 now coming up and still hasn't made the jump. I think the big clubs in Italy are a bit wary about him.
Yh thats true, does'nt stop italian mates raving about him being the black cannavaro mind
Ogbonna is one of the highest rated CB's in Italy right now, basically all the Italy big guns want him i doubt we would have a chance lol even if the price was in our range.
Would love it mind.
Damn, would've preferred him over Cissokho.
I would rather we went and paid Swansea a few million and sign Neil Taylor. Very impressed with the lad when I have seen him play. Ball playing defender who has a football brain. Then we could move Santon to RB
Disappointing that we probably could have had him 6 months ago tbh.
As for QPR they will stay up under Hughes (probably anyway), and could easily force themselves into the middle of the pack next season. I'm not quite sure why people want to see them fail?
The look on Barton's face when he realises he left a europa league team ( if we make it) for a relegated team will be absolutely fcking priceless.
Thats my reason anyway
Doubt wages would have been issue, we have a good chance of finishing the season in top 6 meanwhile QPR have a very good chance of going down.....
If we really wanted him i think we could have had him.
Personally i dont think we were ever in for him and was just the media using our name to create interest.
The fact Pardew denied any interest in the player a month or 2 back goes along with this.
QPR have money. f*** all to do with his ability.
True but some people are saying he would do well for Arsenal, who would rather join Arsenal or QPR?
I think the answer is obvious.
I am not being funny or anything but if he was good as FM and Fifa portray him to be then better sides than QPR would be after him and Milan certainly would'nt be so desperate to get rid.
Bullet dodged.
It's a shame he does'nt have the same love for the club that Harper has...... Krul and Forster would be awesome just like Given and Harper was.
But if he really wants to leave then get as much as possible and hopefully we can get a steady back up to Krul.
So we had to sort out the Cisse deal before Tuesday night because he had to go back to Africa for the tournament........
But Ba is perfectly fine to leave at any time to sort out a transfer to PSG
Agree with this tbh. A few depth signings a fullback and get rid of all the deadwood to free up the wage bill and we could have a really good squad for next season tbh.
If we spent 10 million in theory there would still be 25m left, because the Santon, Cabaye and Obertan deals came from the Enrique, Nolan and Routledge sales.....
But i reckon some of the money has gone towards wages and other things.
