Was talking about footballers, Pardew is different as he single handedly made me hate the club and sport in general and I still don't really feel like I enjoy it in the same way as I did before to this day. No footballer has made me feel that way and given me a reason to exert that amount of negative energy towards.

I don't hate him, can't really feel the need to hate someone I'm never going to know personally. If he wants to come back and help us get promoted as he's better than anything we have then fine.

Delph is trash anyway, sure he's better than Colback but who isn't? we shouldn't be signing players just because they are better than what we have but because they are actually quality players who will help us achieve not only promotion but be a good team in the Premier League. Signing bang average rubbish just because they happen to be better than what we have is not the way to go and is exactly why were relegated to begin with, If the club has any aspirations to be anything but relegation fodder if we get promoted we'd just have to replace players like Delph within a year anyway.

You don't really change centre half partnerships if they're playing well and winning games. You also don't drop strikers that score more often than not in games. Colback only plays because our options at centre mid are dire They built a decent partnership at the end of last season before any new CBs came in. Started together this season,then Mbemba got exiled. Yes, because Mbemba had one bad game and Clark came in and has hardly put a foot wrong FTFY. I have no issue with it because Clark has been very good since replacing him, but he had one bad performance against Wolves it wasn't consistent bad performances at all. I'd argue Lascelles had just as many bad performances in the lead up to Clark getting into the team.

He basically ended up as a very rich man's Colback despite showing huge potential early on. I'd argue this kind of helps make Kaka's point tbh.

If Rafa was here when most of those french attacking midfielders were signed i bet they would have had more success, wouldn't turn my nose up at them based on their performance under Pardew and Carver etc etc.

Honestly the issues we have are not anything new. Width, creativity, tempo and depth in midfield have been issues since before the season started. I just felt like we'd get away with it for longer than we have, also I fear we won't get the required quality in the said department until next season.
