I mean I said in the post that I believed that because they were playing De Bruyne in front of a back 3 I never would have said that if I knew they were going to change it. -
Young off Welbeck  I must have blocked that from memory because I don't remember that at all.
-
Well I agree but I never really thought we got the best from those players tbh, always felt like we were missing something. Where as now the only player who looks out of place is Alli, I think that's why I find it refreshing tbh as we are getting the best from the players we have. Never felt like that with those teams.
-
Yeah that was a bad team, but I don't think it was worse, personally. I suppose Rooney was done, Sturridge had given up. We started Dier. Maybe Kane wasn't as good. I'd say it was probably as bad, then. I suppose my point is how am I so excited about such a team? I don't care why. I'm just glad I'm enjoying an England team. I can't speak for everyone but I'm just happy to see a functional England team tbh Really weird but I think it's because for most of my life time there never really has been, I'm struggling to think of one tbh seeing as even the "Golden Era" teams struggled to put Gerrard and Lampard together. I might have to go back 96 or 98 really which is sad thing itself.

The one that lost to Iceland is IMO, to be fair I can't think back further than that right now But I definitely think this is better than the team at the Euros.
-
We've had much worse individually talented teams since the "golden era" IMO, easy to forget how much trash we've had since 2006. I just think that says how much we can accomplish when we actually perform as a team though tbh, I can't remember the last time we had a team which actually plays like a team should. The complaints for years were why don't we play like a PL team, why don't players play like they do for their clubs? Well this one for the most part does and I'm personally ecstatic about it.

Man, you're extra annoying, even for a newbie. Class, Kaka i heard this newbie is a Knicks fan so perhaps it's expected sadly. -

They were excellent in the second half and should have had a penalty for Jesus' one. Not starting Costa proved to be an awful decision Ball was out of play before the challenge no? Agree on Costa. Ball is well in when he gets tackled Fair, i couldn't tell on the replay i saw. In that yeah it's a clear penalty. -

This was my problem coming into the tournament, stop Neymar and they have very little else when it comes to creating chances. -

Don't really rate Martinez but fair play, this is the first time where I've felt like Belgium look like a team and their star players actually look like stars. -
Aye it was Townsends fault we went down The damage was done long before he joined. He was class for the short period he was here and it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise, if he was inconsistent every winger we've had over the last decade has been.
-
Aimed at anyone who thinks they will fail tbh, you included. I thought they'd do well before the signings, we finished 10th and spent at least 3-4 months playing like crap. The bottom half has been will probably continue to be very bad.

Feels like most who think Wolves will fail are speaking from a place of wanting it to happen than actually believing in it.

At least they are trying something, because with their current team i would make Brazil very heavy favourites. They are way too open and soft defensively with their previous line up to cause Brazil problems IMO, but if they just try to be physical and win the game in the air they might have a chance. -

Still believe in Uruguay tbh, think Argentina's awful defence made France look better than they actually are. -
