On Alli, part of it is because he's not fit and other part is because he's not suited to playing this deep. He's great at making runs in the box and in this set up he doesn't really get a chance to do so. He's probably the only player in the team who looks out of place in the system we employ.

Can't see Belgium causing Brazil any concerns tbh, they are far too open and shite defensively. Coutinho and Neymar will have a field day running off the back of their midfield, if they are going to be caused problems it will be from France or Uruguay. -
Its not about one man who can create something though, that's why we've failed in the past, individuals that can create but can't work together. The problem in this match wasn't lack of creativity. In recent matches we've played good Football, passed the opposition to death, waited for our moment and then played decisive passes that have lead to lots of chances and goals. Even today we played better Football then I can remember us playing in any of our past knockout games Colombia tried to stop us by dragging us into the dirt and making us rush things, not sure I've ever seen a more dirty cheating bunch of cunts to be honest... But luckily we managed to show enough strength of character to win on pens for once Thing is normally we'd be talking about how Colombia should have had a player sent off, shouldn't have been able to bully the ref blah blah blah. But instead none of that matters, instead we can talk about the quarter finals and forget about Colombia.. You might say its fine margins, but it often is, and the fact is we're in the quarter finals Think you misunderstood my point tbh, I was responding to people who saying we need to improve the fluidity of our attacks. My believe is we are doing the best we can with what we have but without an elite passer to put people in better positions there's a limitation to what we can do offensively.

How we play is a lot of sprinting and recovering, Shelvey wouldn't have worked IMO even if he technically has passing which would be of use to the team. The player we miss the most IMO is Oxlade Chamberlain, purely because of how we play he would have fit in really well but he's injured so can't do anything about that.

Thought he was pretty good tbh, in terms of the forward thinking players Lingard was the shite one today.

We just don't have enough creativity, i don't think it's something that can improve really. We are doing our best to get around it but the reality is that lack a player in midfield who can unlock a defence. It's going to be like this for as far as we go in the tournament, we just need to hope we can find ways around it to get through as we have so far.

They literally went too far for their own good. For the 10-20% of the game they actually tried to play they hurt us and scored. That was only once Dier came on and we sat back and let them have the ball, i'm convinced if a different sub was made they still would have done nothing. Nah. People making out like we dicked them all game. They sat back as much as we pushed them back imo. Neither side created that much in the way of clear chances imo, neither keeper had a great deal to do in the 90. Don't be Glenn Hoddle man. Not saying we dicked them, but we were in control of the game tbh. They barely had any possession in and around the box before the Dier sub. We didn't create much actual chances due to a poor final ball but we got in the final third a lot more often than they did before that sub.

They are going to be annoying to play against that's for sure, it will probably be even less pretty than this game was.

I'd like to say it was because Dier went CB but it started a little before then. Columbia dropped back and we looked a lot better. We let them dictate the game far too much for a decent chunk. Bringing Dier on was a massive mistake IMO, they were doing nothing before that sub. We can't defend on the backfoot at all so i hope he learnt from it and in the future brings Loftus Cheek on if he wants to close out a game. But he did rectify that in the 2nd half of extra time. It's a different way of defending but with this team i think it's right.

Yup i haven't screamed that loudly in years.

GET THE FUCK INNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, FUCK OFF COLOMBIA YOU DIRTY FUCKING CUNTS ITS COMING HOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Not at all He is man. Proper intense. Bet he takes ages to make a sandwich. Creased.

Can someone explain to me why that headbutt wasn't a red card? Struggling to understand it tbh.
-
Is Mina even good? he looked quite poor defensively against Senegal tbh.
-
Isco, Casemiro, Kroos and Modric. He's inferior to all of them so yes it is true.
-
I think Colombia and England would both struggle tbh, they are not an easy team to play against at all.
-
Their biggest issue is the midfield, Rakitic is a good player but it tells you everything about where there are that he would barely make Madrid's bench.
-
Been very successful for them for the most part tbf.
-
That's if you believe any of them are real of course.
-
I really can't see Juventus affording his wages tbh, seems like BS to me.
-
I'll ask him then.
-
How do we know he wouldn't have been?
-
There's a chance he'll be so unfit that they'll be worse with him, that's what happened against Senegal anyway as they were better when they took him off.
