Liverpool vs Newcastle United - 04/11/12 @ 4pm (Live on Sky)

Anita is honestly a good choice for this game..... personally feel he's quicker than simpson and better 1 v 1 as well as the obvious technical attributes. His weakness is his height but with Suarez, Suso and Sterling he won't have to worry about that. -

dunno, but we should consider sticking Ben Arfa on his side. Considering what Mirallas did to him last week i'd agree. -

Don't think they would need to look at Carroll's background and character tbh
-
Hopefully it's a defender.

I read last night that the fullbacks will be Wisdom and Enrique but Enrique has a late fitness test which if he fails then Robinson will come in. Johnson and Kelly are injured so either way Hatem should have joy -

Considering how the results have gone and that we have two home games coming up and teams around us have much tougher fixtures in the next few weeks i would be delighted with a draw. -

If Jonas was in the middle it would be fine, it's outwide where Jonas looks a shadow of his former self. -
How is that not a second yellow ( Lichtsteiner)
-
Considering how awful they are bit annoyed we didn't get all 3 tbh
-
Pirlo has so much bloody time on the ball tonight, might as well get a cigar and a bench chair out and lay down and do keepie uppies... Barca paying 40m plus Eto'o for Ibra surely worse? Also Vidal and Marchisio are box to box midfielders both incredibly good offensively and defensively i would not call either of them ball winning midfielders as they have so much more to their game.

I don't like playing 2 in midfield against a team that likes to play possession as much as possible and always plays 3 in the middle though. None the less after today's results i really hope we end the hoodoo at Klanfield it would be so great to be 1 point off 4th with two upcoming home games. Please don't disappoint me NUFC Agree with the Anita move btw -
Speaking of 4th if we do pull off the miracle tomorrow we will be 1 point off 4th Unlikely but still maybe he's not as nutty as we claimed It's not like Spurs and Arsenal have been impressive and Everton who have been impressive have dropped points while looking good and quite frankly i don't see them going on big winning runs. I would still snap your hand off for 7th and a cup run mind but i wouldn't rule it out completely. 4th is really going to be about whose the least shit really as none of the contenders look any better than the rest.

MON Results seem to be going quite well for us today too. ( touch wood)

He has dropped a lot deeper due to the arrival of Van Persie, he hardly gets ahead of the ball anymore because they have a genuine WC striker in front of him instead of ( no offense to them) Welbeck or Hernandez. He might not score the goals he use to with Van Persie there now but he's important as anyone to this Man U team.

The difference between a forward and a winger is rather drastic, Ferguson is a fantastic winger but i'm not sure he could do the job as a forward. I'd trust Sammy or even Obertan more in such a role.

I've edited above, we don't have anyone else capable of playing that wide forward role. Yep Ba is the only CF we have that is capable of playing wide consistently and with Ba scoring all the goals you can sort of understand it. I think an ideal world Pardew would like a wide player who is a goal threat so he could rotate Ba and Cisse and keep the balance. I don't think for one second he would buy all these midfielders and then not bother using them i just think he's concerned with the lack of goal threat on the pitch with just Ba or Cisse. He definitely likes at least 2 goalscorers on the pitch at all times whether that be a front 2 or a front 3 so being linked with the likes of Tom Ince etc etc makes sense. It is also to make Ba happy which does annoy me a bit as no one is above the team but i do think there's more to it than just keeping Ba happy.

Why does he need that to be better? Enrique never had any end product anyway he was a rock solid defender who linked up well with Jonas but other than that he did not offer much going forward. Will never understand why Santon needs better end product to be considered better when Enrique didn't have any either.
