  1. I was hoping to catch the Reserves match @ Fulham in April but they moved it to afternoon behind closed doors. Not a big deal -- just curious about what that means or why that would happen?
  2. Commentator on Obertan: "I'm not sure he knows the right time to pass the ball"
  3. amazing that this was the match performance that vaulted us into 5th
  4. this has added time equalizer written all over it. hoping we can keep it together.
  5. Now that these moves have been made, is there still a chance that the Swansea (a) and Bolton (h) matches could be moved as well? I've got overseas tickets already purchased based on them -- hoping those are solid bets to stay intact?!?! Luckily the Liverpool move just means I have an extra day to wipe away the jet lag cobwebs before the match.
  6. f'ing hate the commentators calling ManU "United". There's two Uniteds out there.
  7. While I was cheering on my girlfriend as she ran her first marathon in Philadelphia a few weeks ago, I noticed another runner wearing last year's NUFC home jersey. My "Go Magpies!" cheer was met with a thumbs up. This has nothing to do with anything but it was a cool fleeting moment in an area where you don't see many of us.
  8. Question: If Ashley'd decided to name it "Sports Direct Arena at St. James' Park" would that have tempered the fury a bit?
  9. Does anybody know what the camera limitations are for SJP? I looked for a stadium guide on the official site but couldn't find anything. My local stadium in Philly has limits on lens size so that's the kind of info I'm looking for. Thanks.
  10. My friend will be bailing on the trip after the Swansea away match, so I'd like game #1 to be truly epic. I'll be solo for the second home game so I'll probably opt for a more relaxed seat then.
  11. Thanks for that -- that's what I'm trying to figure out. We don't want to be stuck in the middle of a bunch of uninterested corporate folk, but as first-timer Yanks we may not be able to fully participate in the chanting and what-not. Hard to get a feel for this when you're 7,000 miles away but appreciate all the info!
  12. Ha Ok so maybe it's not a mathematical midpoint, but the chance to see Sammy knock one in @ Motspur Park is well worth the slight detour.
  13. Sounds like Gallowgate's the way to go -- thanks all. Our plan is to see 3 PL matches & 1 reserves: 3/31: vs Liverpool (home) 4/1: SJP tour? 4/2 - 4/6: London (reserves @ Fulham 4/3) 4/7: vs Swansea (away) 4/9: vs Bolton (home) Most of the extra free time will be in London since it's kinda between Newcastle & Wales. Can't come soon enough.
  14. I was exaggerating about the pummeling. :-) Let's just say we're trying to avoid anything that will make the experience less than perfect. Cheers for the answers so far!
