  1. I know nowt about Fun88 but luckily for us it at least isn't Fun73 as our 6 fingered mates would have a field day.

    Anyway, this from wiki:

Fun88 has partnered with English Premier League football clubs such as Burnley F.C and Tottenham Hotspur. It served as Tottenham Hotspur's official Asian betting partner in 2013 to 2014 which led to the existence of Hotspur88, Asia's first and only Barclays Premier League betting portal microsite. In August 2016, it has once again signed a two-year partnership with Hotspur as their official betting partner in Asia and Latin America. Fun88 was Burnley FC’s shirt sponsor from 2014 to 2015.

In 2014, Fun88 has worked together with Lamborghini forming Fun88 Racing to compete in GT Asia Championship. At the present, it sponsors Fun88 Racing to compete in Porsche Carrera Cup.

Fun88 is also present in the MMA industry, partnering with Asia’s largest sports media property, ONE Championship, in 2015.

Its brand ambassadors include Japanese AV star Rola Takizawa, football legend Robbie Fowler and NBA two-time MVP Steve Nash.

  2. Are they just trying to sponsor as many clubs with a train station that they run through? That's Preston, Carlisle, Doncaster, Darlington...

Well it wouldn't make much sense to advertise where they don't run trains

It would in a joking sense if you know what I mean.    ie.  Virgin. as in never been there before.......        no??........

I'll just shut the door on the way out.  :coat:

  3. All we need is Palace to go down for it to be the ultimate perfect season.

Even better is that the Mackems will see Chelsea lift the title at Stamford Bridge when they play them.  Just to rub it in more

  4. Not sure of Liverpool's 3rd kit like.  Defeating the object with it's supposed description as being 'blood orange' in colour.

  5. Take it we'll be getting new cards seeing as the current one has Wonga on it?

As long as we get them in plenty of time before the first game because it wouldn't be the first time when mine came after.

  6. Dont know what the record amount of season tickets sold is and how many we can actually sell that way but if things go as planned then we could be breaking records this Summer and restart talks of waiting lists or Gallowgate extensions.

I think it's been mentioned that they'd probably cap ST sales at 44,000 and have the rest as corporates and obviously game-by-game sales.

Well I think we can safely say that our average next year has the potential to be the best one since the end of the 1940's then.  We've only had one season with over 52,000 since then and that was 11 years ago with a combination of Souness and then Roeder in charge.

  8. In my predictions, Id expect a couple of shock outgoings this Summer.

Either Mitrovic or Gayle will be sold. Mitro would generate £15m and we'd sell Gayle for £18m plus.

Gone also I reckon and my estimated price is:

Sels - £3m, Krul  £5m, Anita nowt, Gouffran nowt, Riviere £1m, Saivet £2m, Thauvin £10m, Murphy £2m, Hanley £3m, Sammyobi nowt, Mbemba £10m. A potential extra kitty of £35m+

We'll have the likes of Mbabu, De Jong and Woodman to come in to join up with the squad.

  9. Ashley's helicopter landed at 5:20pm and took off at 9:20pm.  So a four hour touchdown in total.  Surely that was enough time to touch base and then some?

  10. Cant be going weeks and weeks waiting on news like we did when we thought Shearer was stopping on as the Twitterati ITK's have Rafa walking out tonight.  Obviously he will have done like you do when you leave somewhere but these things can be misinterpreted to cause shite.

  11. I don't think Rafa will ask for anything like what is being said in the papers, he just wants to feel he has the support

Makes me laugh how lazy the journalism is. He had an interview less than a week ago where he even stated that he isn't demanding any sort of specific transfer kitty. He's not demanding £100m or anything of the sort.

Yet the same old nonsense is regurgitated but the same s*** journalists.

because they know there's doubt amongst the fanbase and easy clickbait.  Half of the problems caused here are by stories getting out of hand and the other half Ashley.  :buck2:

  12. At a guess id say that they'll wait until the 'furore' of winning the league wears off and then announce during the week of the new fixtures coming out.

It even took 2 days for the full 90 showing of the Barnsley game to stretch things out a bit.

  13. For me it's all about a North/South divide.  Im sick of the amount of shit that we seem to get up here and i'll gladly have either Sheff Wed or Huddersfield go up with us.  Luckily the table finished nicely in that it;s an all Northern and all Southern semis, so it's winner take all.

History usually gets rid of the form team in the semis so Fulham look goners on that score.  I predict a Reading v Huddersfield final.

  14. The ten minutes from when Gayle scored, Villa equalised and then their result being confirmed was f***ing magic. That's exactly why you follow football. What a day yesterday was.

I changed my mind from the Norwich game as this beat it by a mile and that's saying something.

The fact that there was no real way of knowing what was going on elsewhere apart from hearsay which created an increased atmosphere at one patch before reducing the ground to an accepted morgue in another.  In my area in the middle Gallowgate beside the corner, we accepted that promotion was a great achievement on it's own considering with Gayle's celebration for the 3rd more than enough to provide a happy atmosphere in the bar afterwards.

What happened when Gayle ran back to the centre circle can only be described by what sounded like a herd of elephants running from one end of the ground to the other as the roar which hasn't been known for years cascaded around the stadium when Aston Villa scored.  Maybe as far back as the Shearer years.  It was like a Mexican wave in the way it went around the ground before confusion and not quite believing it set in.

The scenes on the realisation and watching our own team get lost in the moment with their pile on and dancing about wont be forgotten.    Just hope this is the end of us being a circus club and we can look forward to even getting close to what happened yesterday.  Maybe that was our moment as a club in my lifetime. Who knows.

  15. Wonder if Ashley shows up tomorrow. Be strange if he doesn't although his chopper flew to Brighton earlier tonight and it's a canny way from there.

It would take him about 2 1/2 hours to get to Newcastle, it's not the other side of the world.

By the time he has to fit in his big breakfast, pick up his one white shirt from the dry cleaners and get a lift from the airport, he's getting pushed for time.  :D
