Very controversial but i think he's more creative than Hatem, i have never seen Hatem pick out the passes that Marveaux seems to be able to do quite regularly. Shame Pardew doesn't seem to start him very often. Edit: Ron's beat me to it Suppose, maybe meant in terms of Hatems ability to pluck something out of nothing. Marv is a seriously underrated player, one of the bright spots in our shit season just gone.

Without belittling us I think players do see us as a stepping stone to better things. Few decent seasons with us and they'll all be after him. Think the fans and stadium comment from his isn't rare when were linked with players. Yes premierleague wages but those two things are still a big draw for players imo when it comes to Newcastle. Pretty much all we have going for us.

Leverkusen deal for Alderweireld doesn't seem to be happening. Might give Roma the edge now.
