We'll have to agree to disagree on that then mate. Like I say if all our first XI plus one or 2 more are fit, then aye good team, but i'll maintain we have a really poor squad.

The majority are happy with 2 or 3 signings as they know thats the most we are ever likely to get this summer, 3 is fantasy in honesty. If we actually reviewed the squad as a whole, after the first team it's a majorly weak team. Elliot, Tavernier, Williamson, Gosling, Jonas, Vuckic ,Obertan, Sammy & f***ing Shola are the players filling in if injuries occur. If you think that's a good squad then fair play but imo its shocking.

first team. the squad is rubbish. and that's not excluding Pardew from blame.

Think that was more down to us being completely gutless than the quality of the sides.
  7. That's true, but it comes down to priorities at the end of the day. If we can only buy two players is it more important to buy a 3rd choice cb or a winger/forward? I would say it's more important to get some goals in the team which means ditching the likes of Jonas. Aye agree with you about that, but it's just one problem after another when you look down the list. Honestly, i'v no confidence we'll even get the bare minimum in of a striker. Pardew's comment about not wanting to disturb clubs preparations was just ridiculous.
  8. I was relieved about Colo staying but we're an injury away from that department looking rather thin imo. Unless Good or Streete are pushed forward but then the same questions loom over them like it does all our fringe players. The leadership or lack of it is another massive worry that's hardly been touched on yet, due to the issues everywhere else. We can all yearn for some quality depth in this squad and purples galore but with this regime it's fantasy. The club is in major danger of being pegged further behind unless something out of the ordinary happens in the next month. Prem survival the best we can hope for, and that'll suit Ashley just fine.
  9. The defence falls apart without Colo. MYM is loaded with potential but the best we can hope for is an injury free season for our captain. Saylor looks as clueless as any of them when he's not alongside Colo.
  10. Spot on. Also if Kinnear is the one who has to beg Ashley to cough up, then help us all.
  11. Have to say Van Wolfswinkel, Fer and potentially Alderwiereld are brilliant signings for a club of Norwich's size.
  12. Not sure if Fer actually failed his medical with Everton. There was the discovery of a previous knee worry which put Everton off paying what they were originally going to, and also reassurances which Twente weren't prepared to give. They couldn't settle on a new price so they pulled the plug on the deal.
  13. I sincerely hope not. our squad is far to small imo and as proved last season only a few injuries decimate it. That was more to do with poor coaching and tactics than the size of the squad..... we were still putting out teams that should be beating the likes of Reading, Swansea and West Ham at home. If our squad is small then around 60-70% of the league is too. We are coached badly aye, but we have no squad depth whatsoever either. Combine the two and it will end sourly. And if the rest of league have small squads, at least they seem to be trying to amend the issue this summer, whereas as we float along not urgently trying to sort the team out.
  14. We need two strikers and some width / creativity desperately. That's 3 players straight away. You could argue we now need another RB as although I wasnt sorry to see the back of him Simpson leaving has left us short in that area. Still massive doubt's over Santon at RB and indeed his defending full stop. Tavernier, not so sure. In the rare event us having all our first team players fit and available, we're a decent side. it's just imo the ones being asked to fill in are nowhere near good enough, maybe harsh but I reckon it's right. This makes the selling of Perch all the more senseless as he was the one player who filled in well. This leaves us in a rotten position of not really having the luxury of selling all the tripe as the squad size is limited.
  15. Granted - and then got sent off at QPR True, he's no Krul but he's more than capable imo.
  16. We have to thank him for them saves at West Ham though. Arguably kept us in the league.
  17. I sincerely hope not. our squad is far to small imo and as proved last season only a few injuries decimate it.
  18. Erm, if we maintain this shitness and a decent offer comes in? He will want to achieve something soon.
  19. Same but I wouldn't argue against us signing a highly rated young keeper (I know little about Alnwick). Spose, Krul wont hang about here much longer anyway.
  20. I reckon Elliot is fine as no2.

Still think these will struggle despite this cluster of signings. They have failure embedded worse than we do, only people take notice when it's us.

imo he's classic Championship standard, to say he's not good enough for that division is slightly harsh. Can't see him making the grade here but of course would love to be wrong. He's very similar to his brother in that he lacks any sort of footballing brain.
  24. Wouldn't that be exactly what they do if they signed Cabaye from us?
