  1. It's the only option we have and I do think it would work. A mass boycott would reduce revenue, attract bigger negative media coverage, effect the brand of the Premier League with an empty ground for TV coverage and will bring all sorts of unwanted attention towards Ashley that his little bum chum Bishop couldn't cover up. We have the power to drive the cunt out but far too many won't listen to this and continue the cycle of shit we are in. Fuck them and fuck the club. Enjoy the miserable existence while the real supportes of NUFC happily go about their lives away from this shit show. Yep, also it'd hand the advantage to every visiting team with no fans and a ghost-like atmosphere around the stadium. The fans are probably worth 10 points over the course of a season at least. Meaning Ashley would lose match day income but also probably have to spend more on the squad to achieve his aim of staying 17th, or else actually look for a way out. It's win-win, but it'll never happen sadly.

I'd be amazed if it's anything serious. It just looked like he gave up and was looking for an excuse to come off tbh.
  3. Norwich were in the Championship last season so you'd think Bruce would have known more about their style of play than most other teams we are going to face. This could get really interesting.
  4. So many players look to have given up already. Joelinton doesn't look like he's got any heart. Ki walked around, watch him do nothing for their second then his head drop when it goes in, same with Lascelles and Schar for the third. Same with most of them tbh. Dubs just looks pissed with all around him. Lots of players making gestures blaming others, mainly for the benefit of showing the 'fans' that it's not their fault. The collective spirit has gone already. The tactical discipline has gone already. The belief has gone already. Bruce's excuse culture has spread to his players instantly it seems.
  5. Lascelles and Schar not even bothering to try to get back for their third goal, embarrassing stuff lads. It really is like all Rafa's good work has been undone instantly.

I still can't get over this cunts comments about we would like to have a swimming pool and water facilities. That's the dream. No timeline even though. The club sounds like some tiny start-up gym, hoping to eventually build a swimming pool, not a multi-million pound Premier League football club. It's not even saying we can't compete with Bournemouth or Norwich, that statement goes so much further. It's out of this world that it goes unchallenged pretty much by the media. But then, they don't really challenge anything, do they.
  7. He had this to say after the game: So he realised the amount of flak that's going to come his way and changed his tune saying he'll have them in tomorrow? Just like with the Willems sub last week. He's all about self-preservation. Similar to Pardew in that respect.
  8. This. But he's actually far more clueless than I gave him credit for initially. It's no less than 'Mike' deserves tbh.
  9. You talk as if we're not owned by a massive cunt who hates us and has nothing but malign intentions for the club. Going on as if Bruce is the issue is ridiculous.
  10. That was fucking awful from Dummett. Lucky lucky boy. We look like a ragtag bunch of strangers, not a professional football club today. Not much of a surprise to many though really.
  11. Two observations amongst many: Rafa used to hold new signings back until he'd drilled his instructions into them in general. Bruce just wants to get stupid fans onside by throwing them all straight in, with predictably bad results. Also, this team now looks like it can throw the towel in pretty easily.
  12. Yeah...this isn't a Rafa team. Impressive how quickly Bruce has transformed them.
  13. This is how I feel about the whole situation too, although I am starting to feel some hatred towards Bruce the more he opens his mouth and spews Ashley's PR out.
  14. Give this cunt a few months and it'll be like Pardew is back with the lies and also the praising of good ole Mike.
  15. I'll never accept him. He's not good enough for the job. He's not fit to lace Rafa's boots. He's not fit to even mention Rafa's name. He's a patsy. His quotes are almost Pardewesque. I wasn't sure if my gut would want us to win or lose this season, but thanks Steve, you've helped it decide it wants to see Ashley's club crash and burn for as long as it takes.
  16. Luke Edwards would be a strong contender here.

They know that, outside of here and twitter etc, lots and lots of mugs will believe anything put out by the club. At this point they don't even have to try, theres literally thousands of fans who aren't capable of independent thought but will take anything printed in a paper as true and beyond reproach.

    Rafa Benítez

The absolute gall of this little flid acting high and mighty about player investment after over a decade of underspending and one summer just gone when our net spend was about a par for once (and still only about 1/5 of our turnover). Stop trying to argue with Rafa about football you tit, you're making yourself look really fucking stupid. This has got me man...we would love to, in an ideal world, when we can save enough money, build a swimming pool. Jesus fucking christ, local primary schools can afford fucking swimming pools...the level of ambition of Ashley's club ladies and gentleman...we can dream of having a swimming pool in 10 or 20 years time.

I didn't make that up myself. In that interview with the Daily Mail, Ashley said that the Rafa camp were asking for a one year extension, but he wanted to sign Rafa long-term. Presumably the one year extension was to give Rafa time to see what was happening with a takeover. Bit late to the party but "presumably" You know full well what you're presuming is a load of shit.

It's the connection Rafa has with the club, fans and area that's the main thing I'll take from it. If Ashley ever did sell then any sane new owners would surely move heaven and earth to bring him back. And he would gladly come if contracts etc allowed. Back to BZG: as if they wanted to buy the club but didn't want Rafa It was all a load of smoke.

Think it's fucking shit, mate. Jesus, when I was 18 we were in the Champions League with Sir Bobby in charge, taking us to the Nou Camp and San Siro. We had some limited players, some great ones, but I could really dream as a young fan. Must be so fucking grim for young fans now, there is literally no hope, no dreaming allowed at Ashley's version of the club.

It's clear they wanted rid of him. If they wanted to keep him they would have at least, you know, made some effort. After all this, I still can't grasp how some people are adamant the 'takeover' was definitely real. It's looking more and more likely that it was all one big joke at our expense.
