  1. Where has £80k a week been reported? Might just go and throw myself off a high building if that's true

    Paul Dummett

He's lucky that his career coincided with one of the worst periods in our history IMO, otherwise he would have been sold to a Burnley long ago Sadly we are still buying first team players from the likes of Burnley, rather than shipping our unwanted players off to them.
  3. We need the manager to stop making mistakes here as much as the players. Imagine trying to convince players to join after yet another shit show. We need to at least show them we have a slight chance of staying up.
  4. It's frustrating and slow as fuck, however, I'd rather a few signings in Trippier's ilk towards the deadline than a few in Chris Wood's ilk now.
  5. What the fuck are you on about?
  6. I'd have Rafa back, not so much because I want him back but because I have so little faith in Eddie Howe. I think one problem Howe has, is that his appointment made not one single fan go "wow". Some though he was a good fit, others had huge reservations, but no-one thought we were punching above our weight. Everyone was prepared to back him, but they need to see at least some improvement and there needs to be at least an acceptable level of results. That hasn't happened.
  7. I would have insisted on quality rather than good old fashioned British with PL experience.
  8. One factor in signing a player, especially a forward, is that it gives the fans a lift also. Unless the forward is a player of the calibre of Chris Wood.
  9. I really don't think he's the right man to this club forward. Even if he somehow manages to keep us up, he doesn't have the profile to attract the best players we as a club can attract, he has no experience of how a big, successful club should be set up or ran, he hasn't succeeded anywhere other than Bournemouth, he hasn't got experience of coming into a failing team and keeping them in the PL, in short he has pretty much no relevant experience that I would look for in a candidate for the job. My initial reaction was one of bemusement and head scratching, but I did hope that he could assuage those fears. I'm not saying I want Rafa back, however I was hoping to be able to replace my avatar of Rafa with him. Just can't see that happening though.
  10. Hammond wasn't brought in for 1 weeks worth of advice. IF he left on Christmas Eve, then something went on behind the scenes.
  11. Emery wouldn't have thought Chris Wood was the answer to our needs for one thing. I doubt Gerrard would either. They both also would be able to attract a better quality of player than Howe.
  12. 10 for me, will be slightly less if massive changes and signings are made.
  13. Have we even replaced Charnley? Is Hammond still at the club? Have we strengthened the staff at any level of the club (aside from the coaching team) yet? There hasn't really been much communication, if any, since the takeover.
  14. Like a slightly younger, but far inferior version of Ando7
  15. Signing him with a plan to play toward him is grim enough. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about
  16. Didn't think he was the right man for many, many reasons when we messed up getting Emery and settled for him. Was happy to give him support and hope he would prove me wrong, but it's actually been worse than even I thought it would. We look like 11 strangers still, playing with no discernible midfield, no real signs of any attacking patterns of play, and his answer is Chris Wood as he's "what the team needs now". At any other club there would be serious discussions about his future, no matter how long he's been in charge. I'm just venting my anger today, but my gut has always told me he was the wrong fit for a club of our size and potential, in our position. Miraculously though, somehow we are not dead and buried already. Time to get the Saudi millions out, and time to be careful who chooses where those millions get spent.

  18. Who would have thought Chris Wood wouldn't make the difference today. Massive amount of new players of a better standard needed now
  19. Whole teams heads have gone to shit as usual when we lead a game. They need to man up for once
  20. Wow offer them a goal on a fucking plate. This is unreal ffs
  21. We really need 3 new midfielders if Howe wants to continue playing this way. It's not a functioning midfield at any level.
  22. We should have had at least 1 half competent midfielder signed before today like
  23. The moment a team puts a bit of pressure on us, we still are unable to keep the ball for more than a single pass. It's laughable
