If it was true, Luke Edwards (NE correspondent of the Tele) would be tweeting it as well I'd have thought.
-
Just seen it. Editor of the telegraph according to his bio.
-
Aye, thanks that's what I thought. Just I'd read the following from the Chronicle website: "Our Big Toon Survey showed that many are unconvinced by talk of a new era and lapsed season ticket holders have been sent letters in the post asking them to reconsider their decision not to renew – while also promised a stronger side next season." Edit - sorry missed the screen cap. Cheers.
-
So did the letter also promise a stronger side as mentioned in the Chronicle article? What was the wording exactly?
-
If you believe the Daily Mail aye
-
QPR trying to get maximum value, bearing in mind he apparently only has 1 year left on his contract. I can't see any side being too keen on spending over the odds to get him now, when you could quite reasonably get him in January for £3-4 million? Could potentially backfire on them if they don't do a deal with someone this summer, and I think £15m is too much tbh.
-
He looks decent & very aggressive. I'm not going to whinge about it if we sign him.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

I'd have him back, but I can't see it, and tbh I think we should have other priorities than CM. -
Heh, Pardew the dirty owld fart.
-
Every garbage interview he brings Newcastle into it somewhere along the line doesn't he.
-
It's all bollocks man. People make a living out of making transfer stories.
-
It would be nice if we appointed a young progressive coach like, someone who could potentially pick up the reigns in the future, which is perhaps what the 'football board' are thinking.
-
Intelligent? Aye, reet. "Alreet, my names Shola, a like hats n trainers n neon coffee tables n that." I'm just going off what I've read, I remembered Pardew singing his praises a while ago, saying he could be PM. Here's the article if you don't believe me. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/10469047/Newcastle-United-striker-Shola-Ameobi-is-so-clever-he-could-become-Prime-Minister-says-manager-Alan-Pardew.html
-
Shola would probably be a good coach. He's a very intelligent guy so I'm told, I wouldn't judge his coaching ability based on his playing career. Lets be honest he spent most of his career on the bench so would probably be quite comfortable there.
-
I like that, other than the Wonga logo ofc.
-
Still only 25 as well.
-
I think there could be something in it is as the Mirror are the preferred media outlet, anything they say in the summer is probably worth listening to tbh.
-
I see the papers keep linking us with Saido Berahinho. I mean how much is he going to cost, £20m? Can't see that one.
-
Need to slash the wage bill I'd imagine, but it would be daft to sell him to a promotion rival.
-
This. I quite like him. I'd also have Will Hughes & Austin. But we need 3 decent defenders as well.
-
Newcastle United becomes the only club in the Premier League to have its head coach on its Board of Directors, a move which the Club feels adds significant strength to it.
-
To be honest, I think that's quite a promising press release. He must've been promised some quite significant investment. Here's hoping.
-
Charnley's comments about specifically targeting a cup are promising.
-
I must admit I'm not too fussed by it all, though it is probably counter productive. They write what they want anyway. I can't see McClaren being bothered or making some kind of stand. It makes things easier for him..

Luke Edwards just said on Twitter all local papers have been excluded, which is bizarre if they're all part of the same group.
