That is a bit of a generalisation - you could argue those who aren't ST holders are making the biggest noise about having a new stadium. I am a season ticket holder and whilst I don't WANT to move, I know we HAVE to move to a new stadium to stand a chance of competing. We need to up our revenue - simple as. I don't think a bigger stadium will mean more season tickets available as I don't think they make much money from it. It's corporate and day trippers they'll be targeting as that's where the money is at.
I was opposed to moving but have come to the realisation that we have to in order to stand a chance of competing. Day trippers and corporate seats are where the money is at so they need to up the ante.
The fact that Man City can spend £180mil, more than every other team combined whilst having 115 charges against them highlights how broken the game is.
Whilst I agree I do feel what happened in June has spooked us making us very risk adverse. In order to keep our best players we need CL football. By not adding to a squad which looks like it needs additions we are gambling. Personally I wish we'd just taken a bit of a risk and brought in a coupleof players. Even a loan or two just to freshen things up.
Under Ashley, Isak, Bruno, Gordon, Tonali, Botman, Hall, Tino - all be sold
Edit: scratch that we wouldn't have had them in the first place. btw I know that's not what you meant
