  1. I wonder if Herrera will be kept long-term or if he's just viewed as a band-aid for Mexico.
  2. They've been horrible throughout qualifying. Desperately need a change in mentality, imo. Because the quality of their players and squad as a whole is much better than results indicate.
  3. Assumed everyone gets new kits for World Cup, companies don't care about consumers - only new products = more sales. :-/ Hopefully it wont look exactly like my USA Centenary kit. Although, I'm just not sure what differences one can make when white and blue are the main colors of the home kit and they have to be 1 color. I'm hoping, at the very least, that we keep the centennial patch. It's miles better than that crap US SOCCER patch with the ball-in-motion business. And yes please to getting a collar.
  4. That Mexico top is horrifying. From a national team that consistently has one of the best kits.
  5. Didn't realize this was Miguel Herrera. http://cdn.iwastesomuchtime.com/5312013120327.gif

I don't recall him ever being particularly good. Isn't he perpetually injured as well?

Not bad. I'm not really sure what Klinsmann will do. I'd like to see Lichaj given a run-out at RB, Cameron at CB, and playing time for Boyd and ArJo.
  8. It's a gamble by Herrera, but I think it will pay off. Virtually the whole America squad plus a few key additions (Peralta, de Nigris, Ayala). Entirely Mexican-based. TBH if New Zealand can go into the Azteca, park the bus, and come out with a point, it'll be a massive psychological victory. They picked up draws against better teams at WC10 and Mexico has been beatable at home the past year, so it's not outside the realm of possibilities.

He's been playing well for Forest this season.

You hit the nail on the head. From my experience, far too much emphasis was placed on winning and not enough on developing technical skills. We'd do drills for maybe half of practice and then scrimmage the rest of the time. 3 night practices a week for 2 hours, 1 game on the weekends. Fortunately, Klinsmann was brought in not only to lead the national team, but to re-vamp U.S. soccer from the bottom-up, much the way he did in Germany. It'll take some time before we start results at the top, but I think the pieces are in motion and things are finally moving in the right direction. The only hang-up will be thick youth coaches who'll refuse to adapt and continue with the old ways. So many idiots work as coaches in youth soccer.

    Terrible performance from Portland's defense.
  12. I'm sorry, Hans. I'm bitter as fuck.
  13. Man, piss off with this shit. "Poor me, I only got 73 points this week."
  14. Whomever is first off the bench, yes.
  15. Might as well have been. Sturridge.
  16. Think I've got about 22 points with just the Arsenal trio to come.
  17. IRA loving scumbag, deserves everything he gets. Ok you dickhead I am going to inform you of some things about James McClean and where he is from. He is from Creggan in Derry. In 1972 14 innocent people in Creggan were murdered by the British Army. McClean is correct not to wear the poppy Why doesn't he f*** off and play for an Irish team instead then? Britain have been at war with half the world at some point, including the Germans, the French, the Spanish, the Americans, the Argentinians, the Japanese, the Italians. None of the players from those countries have the brass neck to come and play for a British team and decide that they f***ing hate the British, other than when they're getting paid. Can we call him an IRA loving scumbag for saying his favourite song was some IRA s****? What song was it can I just ask? I don't think ye really understand the IRA. Originally the IRA was set up to get independence for Ireland back in the 1910s. The IRA in Northern Ireland is totally separate really and a much later thing. So depending on which song it was it could be about the old IRA Don't know, don't care. Well you should know before you call him an IRA loving scumbag He is. Why? Reasons previously mentioned. http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/james-mcclean-in-new-row-over-wolfe-tones-song-tweet-29092505.html As I assumed its a song about the War of Independence. Edit: Sorry about this and it will be my last post about it in this thread So he supports the IRA then, and he is a scumbag. Glad to be proven right. You're being a child. He said he'd drop it, move the fuck on.
  18. An Arsenal win would be nice, keep us level with ManU.
