Really hope this doesn't drag on for weeks (or months). If he's off, get it done as quick as possible. Be the absolute worst to openly shop Cabaye and fail to move him on in the next 2 weeks. It'd just hang over the club until the winter window.

Something that killed me last season was transferring players at the wrong time, i.e. dropping a player who hasn't had a goal in 3 weeks for a super hot player, only for them to switch roles. So I'm not making any knee-jerk transfers this week. Think I'll have more success being patient and not springing for the hot hand.

I'm still of the opinion that Sissoko is a good player who's been chronically mismanaged since joining the club. He's a box-to-box central midfielder who can make those link-up runs and crash the box from time to time. He's not a RM, LM, DM, or AM. Pardew seems to love to play him everywhere but his natural position.

Still too early to tell really. I think Mapou in particular has potential to be an excellent CB.

According to my eyes it was 4-4-2. Yep. They started off 4-3-3, for the first 6 minutes or so. As soon as Zabaleta started hurtling down the flank, Jonas pushed out left to counter him. 4-4-2/4-4-1 for the majority of the match.

It doesn't even have to be domestic buys necessarily, but we desperately need to look anywhere but France. We've invested 100% of our scouting energy there solely because those players can be had for dirt cheap and have potential re-sale value.
