All true my problem with it is: he will find it a lot harder the higher up the pitch he plays as the space to run into will be a lot tighter. Its honestly the main reason a lot of wingers have been converted to fullbacks in recent years. I worry he wouldn't be anywhere near as effective at dribbling and lets be honest his end product is not good enough atm. Getting up the field as a fullback is quite different from attacking as a wing player.

As bad as Obertan is I can't quite figure out why he gets singled out like that. At least he's quick and can occasionally influence a game, especially away. I tend to agree with this. Not a starting winger by any stretch of the imagination, but he can come on and offer some speed down the flanks. Which definitely has its uses. Sadly, he's also the only true winger in our squad atm.
