I was listening to something on the radio in the last couple of days where they were saying that the next TV deal is not far off and they fully expect it to be 3 times the current deal. Foreign TV deals maybe, can't see Sky or BT paying much more than they are now. I'm sorry to see him go. Was just starting to get forward more under Poyet. Good tackler, good work rate, keeps it simple. As some of you have said if he's coming in as a squad player then he's worth signing. If he's coming in as Cabaye's replacement you're all going to be bitterly disappointed. Cabaye scored and created goals. Jack likes passing sideways and backwards a lot.

Even if you do manage to finish fairly high up your best players will all have to go and be squad players for big teams while you try to survive and build again. The run we went on at the end of the season co-incided with Bardsley getting suspended and Vergini (a centre half adjusting to a new league) playing at right back. No too fussed about him going tbh. Only thing that concerns me is that he is our only full back. We've had no one else permanently to play right or left back for yonks now.
