Looks like all three of us at the moment but think the mackems might have a chance of staying up now. Season ticket next season if we go down. It'll be interesting at least. Us, Newcastle and Boro (should they bottle it again) in the second tier, whilst shit for North East football would at least add interest.

Nothing will be worse than watching Poyet's last few games. Or in fact I'd recommend getting some highlights of us under O'Neill against Norwich when they went down to 10 men. That made my eyes bleed.

He is doing well at the moment. Don't worry though. You're all too close to it. Every thing said on here. Everything that I've learned the man was about (insight that can only be gained from fans of other teams) He's stumbled upon a team perfectly suited to his style. Big lads in defence, players for magic. He will turn soon. It's a poorer league than last season. I think a couple of defeats will see him revert to type. I can still see. I haven't wavered. I'm a mackem ffs. Relax

Fairly certain the Mackems will be happy finishing between 14th and 17th every year. Every year? No... Next two/three seasons I'll snap your hand off. His style of football doesn't bother me. We've never been particularly good to watch apart from a 6? Game spell under Poyet and a couple seasons under Reid. You lads have probably been spoiled by some great football under Keegan and even more under Robson. Do I hope my team achieves more than scraping survival every season? Yes Do I want to watch attractive football? Of course I do. Is Sam Allardyce the ideal choice at this moment in time? Yes he is. We could be more ambitious. Appoint Favre, Phillips, the list isn't that long tbh. We need to establish ourselves. We need the money that the Premier League will provide in the next few seasons (I've seen our accounts) We're at the stage now where we just need a few boring seasons a la Stoke. Same as a newly promoted team. He should have been appointed when Bruce was sacked. We've scraped survival now for three seasons. He needs to be given a few seasons to provide a platform. Stable. Top Division. Then we can look to attract better. Best we can hope for. Swansea and Southampton are well run and I'd love to have that. Our bloke tries but we can't realistically be like that...

Because all Sunderland fans are racists? Just like everyone at St James punches horses?
-
It's going to be Pearson. I can see it now. Down beating Derby's points total. At least two touchline bans. Him throttling Fletcher... Actually there might be positives in this.

I used that van to move my stuff out of my old flat. Sure it was the same one? 100% I could tell you the pub it's parked outside there The Marlborough. I'm scared now

He was taking us down imo, but we'll never know, KK kept us up. Good luck if that fat fraud lands, you'll need it. Can't believe you pull this manager change s*** every year, like, and even more that your players suddenly start trying. It's really a cup final for most of you, isn't it? We don't bother with it. I don't care that it's before we play yourselves. I want to win the derby. Who doesn't? But cup final? I've been to one and it was miles better than any game v Newcastle I've attended. Staying up is more important

Two of the lads on our board who've been spot on in the past confirming this now. He's gone after tomorrow. I'd take Allardyce now. In fact I'd have taken Allardyce before O'Neill was appointed. Not because his football is particularly great. Not because I think he's a good manager but because he suits a club like us. Our ambition is stay in this league. Other than Pulis, there's not a man better who'd achieve this regularly without too much trouble.

This Brahimi bloke looks excellent. Where've they got him from?
-
Strange that, thought he was doing alright

My Liverpool supporting mate is adamant he's going to come in and turn them around. It's going to be hilarious if he rocks up at Bayern. Klopp could be the biggest troll in world football. 'Wants a project' keeps fans of non Champions League teams thinking they have a chance. Then he signs up for one of the best three club sides in the world. Same 'challenge' Pep was looking for. Good point

Players unable to kick a ball with either foot, and I mean like not being equally good with both but just pass a ball 5 yards. Van Aanholt, Colback, Fletcher spring to mind instantly. Mainly left footers who do this now I think about it. I play with lads on a Sunday comfortable with either foot and they don't train more or less every day. How hard can it be?

There's nothing in this league for either of us. Start again with young academy players would be my preference. Just sick of the s*** served up and not fooled by the odd game trying Aye I'm this way inclined at present

Chin up lads, we're all in this together. Like one big happy NE family.
-
Would rather not let that ginger prick hamper the development of Haidara though. Good point, against West Ham it was a toss up between the two who was worse. At this moment in time I'd have Colback ahead of him where he can do less damage at left back
-
You should go Krul Janmaat - Mbemba - Coloccinni - Colback Wijnaldum - Sissoko Thauvin - De Jong - Aarons Perez
-
Think that's harsh on Noble. Technically a very good footballer. Colback was shocking the other night but have no fear he will never be dropped. I think he'd actually be a half decent option for you lot at left back where his flaws are less exposed. His shitness was only surpassed by Haidara against West Ham
-
I think we're both going down. Yourselves with a whimper. We might put up a bit of a fight. What I've seen from yourselves just screams relegation. Devoid of a defence and a threat going forward. Mind I've said that about us the last few seasons and we always manage to stay up...
-
I understand more and more the hatred Colback gets at times the longer this game goes on. One minging booking. Pass ball then hide. Repeat.

Lived and worked down in Burton for over a year and used to go to the Pirelli pretty regularly. Their form is pretty remarkable given they've not really had an out-and-out striker since they flogged Billy Kee. Beavon doesn't score anywhere near enough. Goal came from an OG Lad who put the cross in looks lively like, Duffy? Think Burton have one of our academy lads playing as well. I remember Robbie Weir from old Footy Manager games.
