I like this idea. It narrows the margin of error for zombie clubs and 'bum' & incompetant owners like Ashley (who sanction Jan sell-offs without replacing key players, because 40 points or close to it have been banked). Although when the stakes are this high keep any such play-off/s away from Wembley - lower placed teams have to travel to an away venue. This way the previous 38 fixtures still have value.

On principle I'm against the likes of Chelsea stockpiling Europe & England's top youth talent, only to loan them out to EPL sides (to develop & evaluate them in the top flight). I oppose the system, so it's a No from me ie. Batsuhayai.

Ashleynomics comes into play, so if the reported 38m release clause was actually 3.8m I'd be inclined to believe it.

As Keegan once said, this man/Ashley cannot be trusted - he'll tell you one thing (to your face I assume) and mean another. No benefit of the doubt from my side of the fence. Unbelievable that some are prepared to grant Ashley that, again.

Such an offensive image.

TRon..... when the club is possibly viewed as the black sheep of English football (through association with it's owner) everything is going to microscrutinized over & above the norm - yup even the manager's soundbites, and this ranks way below SAF's attacks against the integrity of match officials. An 'investigation', way after the fact too. Fuck me lol

Dear me. When you think of what these tossers used to take from Fergie but no, Rafa's the one they need to crack down on for a nothing comment. p*ss off. The Establishment Vs Mike Ashley's NUFC. Nothing comment it was, and the FA are inconsistent, but I do believe the football wing of Ashley's sports retail has been put on flame by the establishment. Authorities haven't been able to throw the book at SD. Ashley has been too slippery so far - almost untouchable. I think there'll be people in office (higher than the FA) who'll be praying that 'Ashley's' football club is dirty as fuck in all this, and smashing NUFC (and it is a marketing shopfront SD) could be the next best thing after he slipped out of their grasp last year ie the parliamentary enquiries/hauling Ashley before a committee. I look at the Ashley's NUFC's overall body of work when it comes to ethics, or a lack thereof, from Keegangate through to how Gutierrez was treated. It wouldn't surprise in the slightest if we've been the greediest pigs in the trough, in this alleged 'secret' player payments scheme, given that we always seemed to unearth clauses & bargain basement transfer fees in the French market. For now I'm not exactly buying the best case scenario line being pitched, that the club was some sort of innocent victim as part of an elaborate scheme set up agents. Swindon precedent is there, if we're dirty as fuck then Ashley's NUFC deserves nothing less than the same sentence. After years of gutter level ethics from this mob (Ashley & Co), maybe this is Karma biting Ashley on the arse.

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC

Yup, especially if he suspects that he's being chucked under the bus. This bloke is way out his depth, and Ashley is ruthless. Honestly I hope there's correspondence (Charnley's kept some sort of record) implicating Ashley, basically painting the narrative that Ashley is more hands-on than it's often reported, and this tax avoidance scheme was hatched from the very top. Early Christmas present if Charnley has covered his arse and he flips on his paymaster. Are you two on drugs? Would definitely be funny to see Ashley jammed up (if the club is found to be involved in systematic tax avoidance) by his own company man, given that Ashley got his big break for his then budding empire when he ratted out Whelan and what was the so-called Gentleman's Club of the UK's replika kit market (to the Office of Fair Trading) by keeping recorded phone calls. Would be a lovely thing to see..... what goes around comes around, when it comes to this prick. -

Always thought that more than one season in the football wilderness (away from the EPL moneytrain, limited exposure for SD) might force Ashley to cut his losses and sell. Scorched earth line of thinking basically. I'm hoping, after reading about the Swindon precedent, this is the bomb which scuppers Ashley's rebound back to the money train (of the PL) and brings down the house of cards so to speak. -
Rafa exhausting his extensive network of contacts to land the players he wants Vs The board (under Ashley) propensity to penny pinch (to secure the perfect deal), and deliberately underbid for top targets (as revealed by Keegan). Now the real fun & games begin. Rafa's vision Vs well, Ashley's Sports Direct United's business model.

To me the start of it sounds like an upbeat, quasi-poor man's remix of The Viking Clap and an African tribal warchant. It's like they were aiming to create a mish mash cultural fusion, which they thought would sound. Typical Ashley SD United gimick - s*** & tacky. Noubt to do with them to be fair just backed by them. Ahhhh, my bad. Typical of them to at least rubberstamp something which sounds so gimmicky. It's right up SD's alley.

As a RB, one of the few players who didn't crumble during the relegation fight last season. He's a solid, balanced rightback when fit. Unless there's a wonderkid emerging in our youth set-up (to replace him, in rotation with Yedlin) we should stick with Anita.

Edited. Curious you edited the Wet Spam entry - I would have thought a comprehensive list of Pardew's "Low Times" at the Toon would have run for hundreds of pages! Also curious that the edited entry didn't include "Saw fit to choose English cloggers over Argentinian superstars for... reasons". Despite the actions & blame deflecting statements/contradictions (while at SportsDirect United) which has rightfully earned himself widespread hatred on Tyneside, for being a company Yes Man and footballing troglodyte, this chapter (at West Ham) I feel provides the biggest insight into the man's character - how far he'll go in order to save his own skin, after behaving in such an unprofessional manner in the first place.

http://i4.thejournal.co.uk/incoming/article8797379.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/JS58482930.jpg What are the chances of ambitious owners (post Ashley) actually obtaining council approval to extend the Gallowgate so it's structure is almost butting up against the arse of two high density living spaces measuring 9 and 11 storeys high (Ashley's Student Towers)? Sweet f*** all? From The Mag Never ceases to amaze the extent of which this prick continues to cut the potential of a football hotbed off at the knees (on & off the pitch) while lining his own pockets.

Largely dependant on how Hayden's injury & workload are managed over the remainder of the season, but this traffic cone's presence is the biggest threat to promotion, and puts SportsDirectUnited's decision to not back Rafa in January (by not putting in a genuine effort to acquire the lad from Everton) on blast. Time he wastes on the ball (coupled with the routine backward or sideways pass) allows opposition outfield lines to press as an organized unit. The fact that he deliberately hides isolates Shelvey. Personally I think he's largely responsible for the long ball stuff, which has featured prominently as of late. Shelvey's overall passing game has more balance when the deep lying partner is anybody but Colback - Hayden, with his box-to-box drive (a constant outlet through the middle) has been a huge loss, and opposotion have sussed out how to suffocate Shelvey because of the Colback Factor and what the traffic cone doesn't provide.

I'm sure it was going to a public enquiry after objections by a group of people who liked to take there dogs for a s**** on the moor. The mouth piece was a woman called Dolly Potter and it was rumoured she was going all over the North East to get signatures on her petition, including to sunderland. Kinda' remember the Friends of Leazes Park group voicing their intention that they would to go to war again, with the club, over the 2005 proposed expansion of the Gallowgate too.

He was supposed to ruin Bolasie and Zaha... Fortunately for Bolasie, he was sold before the cyclical Pardew rot had well & truly set in. In the case of Zaha. Well, he was expected to beat teams on his own - carrying the ball from deep, expected to deliver that bit of magic to bail a non-existent attacking gameplan (of Pardew's) out of the shit. Not exactly the ideal environment to excel consistently, and develop.

Potentially a horrible situation for the Murphy twins. They're the sort of youngsters, with flair, who are primed to be ruined by The King's methods. I rate them. Hope they find an escape route fast, if Pardoo is hired.

Becoming the standard post (most matchdays) when rating this glorified traffic cone's performances.

The first traffic cone I've seen make the step-up from the kiddie's training paddock to the professional stage.

Is this a poem? I should have included bullet points and wrapped them with gold, sparkly ribbons..... just for your viewing pleasure.

A striker who is pretty quick off the mark. Hamstring injury. Whose game is reliant on his darting, timed runs off the ball. Winter - shithouse time of the year to pick up a hamstring injury. Get used to seeing him not rack up too many more mins, this season.
