I've had a shithouse week so far, but this warms my heart. What a lovely walk of shame it is. High marks for that one - the posture, no eye contact, the cowardice behind the pace he sets. Brilliant execution Alan

Very much this. And it's going to be tight, provided he isn't booted by those deluded investors who expect a bunch of touchdowns and at best Alabama-style winning margins & dominance. January arrivals, fresh off the plane with stars in their eyes & lapping up the snake oil (and still well drilled from good coaching, before The Pardew Effect kicks in) are key for him, much like the campaign when Sissoko etc provided him with a results bounce when they first arrived here.

Wouldn't mind a win for Pardz today. Another bout or mini-run of typical Pardew 'gallows avoiding' form, with a couple of undeserving results thrown in, preceeding some more misery heaped upon Palace fans who enmasse derided everybody (ie. the anti-Pardew establisment) who actually knew better. This scenario pleases me.

Not his fault he cant buy players who are 8s or 10s. HBA was a 10. Pardew never bought him ..... and clearly not rated by Pardoo from the outset (football idealogy clash didn't help HBA's case for selection), until finally Obertan's broken toe forced Pardoo's hand at the selection table. Next season's narrative .... Ben Arfa. Position: Auxiliary Fullback. Pardew Rating (out of 10): Unrated.

Pretty sensible post on their forum. Displayed some empathy for their plight, based on our experience, and it's met with the same agro, fuck-off diatribe when they were warned about the charlatan (during the Honeymoon Period). Fuck them. I hope the car wreck continues for a while - at least through January, and have the bloke spunk their survival splurge in the January window down the shitter.

Just been fired anorl Would have smashed it if the challenge was set in a SE Asian sweatshop. Unlucky to have been thrown out of his comfort zone.

So what color glitter will this beautiful free spirit (of the football world) pleasure us with this afternoon? Sorry, this will never get old.

I would assume the Pogba clan would have a little more class than this. Then again Paul has been a wild child in the past. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1751233768476512&substory_index=0&id=1631164087150148&__tn__=%2As Can't believe this chick cupcaked a bus driver

Quoted from the same write-up by Louise Taylor. "Zaha, Andros Townsend and, when fit, Yohan Cabaye will be integral to such varied gameplans but Benteke seems key to Pardew’s creation of the type of three-dimensional team he once envisaged constructing around Carroll." Pardew the versatile, tactical genius. There's still vomit residue on my tonsils, long after reading that misrepresentation of The King.

Nope, the way I remember it..... we pay for incoming players in full, with a one-off payment - as you have said. But for players sold/fees received we're happy to accept payment (the full fee) in installments. Given that our transfer kittys are generated through sales surely you can recognise how this creates a short-term (perhaps convenient) cash flow problem, limits our punching power in the market, and stifles the squad building ability of an ambitious manager.
-
Never been a fan of our policy of accepting transfer fees in instalments, and only coughing up (for incomings) in full. For a club which raises a transfer kitty through sales, deals like this weaken our buying power in the short-term, and stifles the efforts of ambitious managers. Rafa, welcome to the reality of Ashley's Sports Direct United. Welcome to the arse end of club football.

Bugger off ^^^^^ In a twisted way this is so therapeutic.

Benteke could very well be the Demba Ba presence up top who can convert enough junk opportunities (amidst Pardew's turgid, cowardly brand of football) into a 15 goal+ return. I hope the move doesn't happen.
-
Attitude has been alarmingly poor since the January transfer window, when a move away failed to materialize. The difference between he & Sissoko - Perez plays a savy 'fan friendly' media game.

Brendan Galloway joins new club - West Bromwich Albion

So many obscenely scorched & ruddy faces in one photo. Was Sunderland selected by some sort of Mengele-like research lab, as a test sample population for gene splicing with tomatoes? -
Barring a major injury the guarantee of starting XI football for this non-entity, in a footballing sense, threatens promotion. If the club were to think of the bigger picture (Ashley jumping back aboard the PL money train) then it makes perfect sense to take an immediate hit to the balance sheet by releasing this bloke & paying out the remaining 3 years of his contract.
-
Nah, at least Shola provided some moments of joy against Sunderland. On the other hand the Ginger Assassin's diabolical performance at SJP last season (in such a key fixture) had an air of agent saboteur about it.

I'd have Anita, ahead of Janmaat (at RB), in my back four as well. I think the former is a more efficient & disciplined defender, particularly when isolated. Janmaat is too untrustworthy. Anita's technically sound and offers enough going forward. For me there's major question marks hanging over Perez, who has looked out of sorts for quite some time - leaning towards Aarons in the battle for any left sided attacking slot. Obviously any strongest XI doesn't include Colback.
-
And he is extremely slow-of-thought when he's on the ball, and generally brings a counter attacking opportunity to a screaming halt. I have no idea how anybody cannot take issue with his general play.

3rd from the right is a decent timeline match.
