Iirc theres quite strict criteria to be classed as an UEFA elite category stadium to host UEFA Finals although capacity wise we would be ok there is loads of other stuff Looks at stuff like minimum size of pitch, the grass even needs testing in a UEFA laboratory, VIP parking, control rooms, size of pitch, floodlighting, sizes of dressing rooms, hospitality areas, PA system (ha), size of press conference rooms and media facilities etc Search for UEFA category criteria and theres a document third down on google
  2. Has to be 3 years iirc he was only there for 2 (2019-2021)
  3. The three groups of death are probably PSG Real Madrid AC Milan Newcastle Barcelona Dortmund AC Milan Newcastle Bayern Inter Shakhtar Newcastle The best groups would probably be Feyenoord RB Leipzig Red Star Belgrade Newcastle

  6. Id be surprised if the CFO & CCO and the global brand director were on the board, they could be directors but not executive directors (i.e. they have a seat at the table but no vote in decisions)
  7. Can't beat the 90's keeper tops, had both of these as a kid
  8. Didn't realise as never go up that way, cheers!
  9. No signs on what the keeper top looks like or even what colour it is?
  10. There isn't a shop at the metro anymore is there, used to be 2 but both closed under Ashley
  11. Simon Capper is coming from Leicester City to be our new Chief Financial Officer, don't think they ever placed John Irving as Chief Financial Officer when he left to work for Newcastle Airport did they? Can't believe how much more professional we are now with an actual board rather than Ashley & Charnley, we now have; Yasir Al-Rumayaan (Chairman) Asmaa Rezeeq (Director) Abdulmajid Alhagbani (Director) Amanda Staveley (Director) Jamie Reuben (Director) Darren Eales (Chief Executive Officer) Peter Silverstone (Chief Commercial Officer) Simon Capper (Chief Financial Officer) Dan Ashworth (Sporting Director) I presume the way boards work, the CCO, CFO & Sporting Director ultimately report to the CEO who reports to the Chairman.

  19. Might try and get to a game next year, can i check this is right for the teams and leagues for 23/24? Step 5 looks quite interesting with the coast derby (Whitley Bay/North Shields) Newcastle derby (Newcastle Benfield/Heaton Stan) & Whickham/Birtley all being pretty close to each other location wise. Vanarama Conference National (Step 1) Gateshead Hartlepool Utd Vanarama Conference North (Step 2) Blyth Spartans Darlington South Shields Spennymoor Town Pitching In Northern Premier League (Step 3) Morpeth Pitching In Northern Premier League Division 1 East (Step 4) Ashington Consett Dunston UTS Hebburn Town Northern League Division One (Step 5) Birtley Heaton Stannington Newcastle Benfield North Shields Whickham Whitley Bay Northern League Division Two (Step 6) Bedlington Blyth Town Chester-le-Street Town Chester-le-Street United Jarrow Newcastle Blue Star Newcastle University Prudhoe Youth Club Ryton & Crawcrook Washington

Thought Taylor & Oliver as 4th official did really well in probably the most challenging game last night, the antics from both teams, especially MOurinho is a joke, hope UEFA give him a stadium ban for next year for shouting and abusing in the cark park (as someone has said what message does that send to grassroots referees) Hope they throw the book at him the old arrogant Portuguese c**t
  21. Theres no way we can do the whole season in 4 competitions playing Tue/Wed every week with two strikers man @Optimistic Nut (bit rop optimistic you could say), probably need 4 strikers. Id also say thanks for your service and peddle Murphy, dont think he's a top half PL player. I thought Karius was already confirmed as going so would need a new backup/third choice keeper unless Darlow/Gillespie are happy to stay. Would Gillespie class as home grown for the club btw? Would also let Almiron go if we got a decent offer for him Id send Ashby on a 6 month loan as unlikely he will play apart from maybe FAC or LC as he will be 3rd choice RB.
