Its not even the eras being different. Its that there wasn’t as many foreign players in England back then and the top players were more spread out across different teams and leagues so English players and the foreign players that were in England perhaps appeared better than they actually were if you compare them to today’s standards Like for example didn’t Pallister and Bruce get fuck all/no England caps while they were winning leagues at Man Utd? These days I don’t think that could happen Overall perhaps. Rob Lee wouldn't fall into that category though, particularly considering how good he still was when we played in Europe and how good (and underrated) he was when he played for England. As I said, didn’t see him play so cant comment on him individually

Never saw Rob Lee so don’t have an opinion on that but the Premier League as a whole is of a much higher quality now than it was in the mid 90’s so comparing players from the two eras is hard
-
Ritchie already showed he can’t play there and don’t understand why anybody would want Kenedy further back the field
-
Pretty sure we tried that last year and he was absolutely shit
-
i've not seen him do that or look like that for arsenal though, presumably just the games i've seen but he's looked the same here today...granted man city isn't a game to judge anyone on He scored 10 in 13 while usually playing with the Arsenal B team last season. Not sure what you’re expecting

That's class tbf
-
Would definitely start Muto ahead of Perez the next game, or even as the striker. Looks like he can really stretch the defence which our other players can’t
-
Proper shit defending. If their striker is more intelligent he'll leave ''Willo'' behind. Its good defending for non league like
-
Its about a million times harder to be a striker than a keeper Not actually what HTT said, though. Also don’t think what you said is true by any means. He compared outfield players making mistakes with keepers making mistakes. Its much easier to not make mistakes as a keeper than as an outfield player

Should win now but not convinced by Wolves so far
-
Strange area to pick out. They’re their two best players. Moutinho’s been a step above the rest so far
-
Not writing them off for the season but Wolves look shite so far. None of the three at the back look like they can pass well or bring it forward well
-
You mean like how everyone does the same before a ball has even been kicked? Aye, exactly
-
They’ve barely created anything going forward either tbh. Think they’ll be bottom half but pretty comfortable at the same time
-
Fulham keeper’s absolutely shite. Christie isn’t good enough for this level either. Cairney is also ridiculously one footed
-
Fulham should have a pen there. PVA is class
-
Yep, very harsh. Especially cos he’s been wanking Hennessy off for routine saves at the other end
-
Fulham haven’t created that much really. Put in some good balls but Sessegnon and Mitro nowhere near them. Great finish for the Palace goal
-
Seri oozes class. Good game
-
Looked like Mitro had never taken a free kick before

Return of the Manq

Encouraging performance. Diame was great second half, impressed by Muto too
