  1. That's like saying my local Sunday League team could beat Barcelona in a game
  2. 53,000,000 people vs. 4,500,000 people. Most popular sport by a mile in England vs 3rd or 4th most popular in Ireland. We do pretty well with what we have, England don't
  3. Aye, and shitting yourselves anytime you play a half decent team
  4. Please stop asking if there's enough room
  5. Funny that with our "second rate English players" over the last 30 years, England still haven't been able to beat us once in the seven times we've played in that time frame
  6. So if you had been born when your family were already in England then you wouldn't consider yourself in any way to be Kenyan?
  7. FOR KING FELIPE! Now time for some mid-afternoon sleep. I have a BA degree in English & Irish Relations in the Footballing and General Sporting Realm (with Hons) from the University of Southern Belfast, actually. The perfectly placid Combat 18 group from England were viciously attacked by Irish hooligans. You needed an Englishman in Jack Charlton to run your England B team that day anyway. Whereabouts in England are Fabio Capello and Sven Goran Eriksson from? Durham and Yorkshire I think. They had a good pool of English players to pick from. Rather like the Irish managers over the years So people born in a country can't feel like they are from another country? You said you were Kenyan, yes? Were you born there or in England?

  9. Aren't you from Sweden with English family and you support England? Ndegwa fucking hates you man, Flip likewise
  10. http://www.navalica.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/putin.gif  Amazing. Well Iceland have got less than a tenth of that and they've done alright considering their most popular sport is moose hunting/being cold Aye they've done brilliantly. Outstanding achievement. Doesn't change the fact you think a country with 4 million people not qualifying is "hilarious" Yeah, you're right, it doesn't change that fact at all  England haven't beaten Ireland in 31 years either Would help if your lot stopped trying to kill everyone when the matches were on, then there might be a few more regular games. Regardless, England have the superior head-to-head record You know absolutely fuck all man The last time there was any trouble at an England-Ireland football game it was in Lansdowne Road in Dublin and English hooligans got the game abandoned by fucking up the stadium. That's why there wasn't a game for years afterwards
  11. Literally. How can England be 'desperate' in comparison to ROI when most of the squad are a) decent players b) born in the country? Robbie Keane tho Hope Northern Ireland do well though, I wonder how long they can keep their unbeaten run going. Considering they're such a small country, and have players nicked from them by their cousins, O'Neill's done a superb job. I think they've got a good chance of getting through to the knockout stages. Just looked it up and more Northern Ireland players are born in England than Republic of Ireland players
  12. England haven't beaten Ireland in 31 years either
  13. Paul McGrath was absolutely brilliant btw lads. I think anyone who saw him would think that

  15. More English players in the Wales squad than the Irish squad btw
  16. Keep Ireland Irish Damn foreigners, coming to our country and helping us occasionally qualify for international tournaments because we can't on our own You do realise these players have family connections to Ireland, yes? English people only take the p*ss out of Ireland about this because we became at least as good as you in the late 80's and 90's when we first started taking advantage of the rule Dunno what you're on about, I'm Kenyan. You slagged off the Republic for having English born players and then say you hope N.I. do well. Hypocrisy at it's finest. Also, England are s***. They're the biggest underachievers in International football. Complete bottlers. Managers have no balls. World Cup 2014 they finished dead last in the group. World Cup 2010 they scraped out of the weakest group in the entire competition and then got absolutely thumped by Germany. Euro 2012 beat in quarters, Euro 2008 they didn't even qualify. Absolutely horrendous for a nation such as England. Maybe this time it'll be different though. Football's coming home and all that jazz. Aside from the emotional hysteria you're splurting I actually agree with you to an extent. They're not 'fucking shit', but they certainly are perennial underachievers when it comes to international tournaments. Since Euro 96, they've not done much of note. Which makes it even more hilarious that you lot need to borrow a bunch of Englishmen to help you even get to said tournaments in the first place. Not really that hilarious when you take into account that there is 4 million people in Ireland and football isn't even the most popular sport
  17. Cyrus Christie also turned down a call up to the England u21s in favour of accepting a call up for Ireland
  18. Keep Ireland Irish Damn foreigners, coming to our country and helping us occasionally qualify for international tournaments because we can't on our own You do realise these players have family connections to Ireland, yes? English people only take the piss out of Ireland about this because we became at least as good as you in the late 80's and 90's when we first started taking advantage of the rule
  19. Hazard will probably give a fuck when Belgium play though, De Bruyne isn't hit and miss. Lukaku was playing in a poor team. Origi is also decent. Even forgot about Carrasco, he's class. Lack of full backs will probably be their major problem.
  20. Courtois, Alderweireld, Verthongen, Dembele, Nainggolan, Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku might have something to do with it
  21. Well no 16 of them were born on Ireland so not most It's hilarious how desperate they are. Robbie Keane > England anyway. Just a shame they got a cake group and we got the group of death. And of the 7 born outside Ireland McGeady, McCarthy and Clark chose Ireland when they had a feasible different choice they could make. You might laugh at Clark but when he declared for Ireland at the age of 20 he had captained England at u18,u19 and u20 level in the previous few years and was very highly rated
  22. I don't think Defoe would be very good if he played for Man Utd. Would have to be involved in build up play a lot more and wouldn't have the chance to get in behind the defence as much. He's not suited to playing for a big team IMO
  23. Players who start every week in the Premier League aren't going to go to us in the Championship
  24. Well no 16 of them were born on Ireland so not most
  25. Anyone born on the island of Ireland is Irish if they want to be
