  10. Jaap Stam favourite to take over apparently. But what about experience of the Championship? Does seem like a pretty risky move tbf
  11. started to subconsciously read them in Garth Crooks' silvery tongue. EDIT: Fuck off Triggs thought nobody would understand my post tbh
  12. Aye me too. Hopefully Barnsley go up. The reality of the Championship is hitting me Much rather them than Milwall. I was with my dad yesterday who isn't interested in football (actually admitted that it was hooliganism that stopped from following football) and even he was saying that he hopes Milwall don't come up. In fact he even said that they should just be thrown out of the football league as they haven't even bothered to kick out the hooligans that they have like every other club has done. Did you tell him he made a very good point and promptly go home?

The rest of the world seem to disagree. My first post was a response to someone saying it'll be great for you lot winning games in the Championship while we struggle in the Premier League. I can assure you I'd much rather be in the top flight, although I have enjoyed our spells in the second tier. We now have Mourinho and Guardiola and who knows which players they'll bring with them. Ibrahimovic is already rumoured to be on his way, and my 12 year old son is absolutely buzzing about it and I'm sure there'll be more big names on their way. All of the players that play to a very high level consistently in England eventually go to Barca or Real Madrid. It's a feeder league to the two biggest clubs in the World where they will then have the chance to win the Champions League. Also Liverpool couldn't beat a team that didn't win an away game all season in La Liga. The reason "any team can beat any other" in the Premier League is because all of the rich teams are horrifically mismanaged and much less than the sum of their parts. Viewing figures also don't say anything about how good a league is. None of the best players in the World play in the Premier League, along with none of the best teams
  14. If he can recreate that style of football in the premier then he's basically proven himself in any condition. In Spain the pitches are a lot bigger so it's harder to close teams down. Don't watch German football but I assume it's a bit slower paced than the premier. That said though, if you buy the best players you are most likely going to win the league over here as well. Allardyce style spoiler tactics will only get you so far. The Bundesliga is very fast from what I've seen. Most teams play a high pressing game
  15. I'd add Simeone to that list, too. Better than Rafa? Klopp & Wenger it's a no. Ancelotti & Simeone maybe. Lets see how Guardiola goes in the PL, I have a feeling he will struggle. Simeone maybe. Wenger no. Klopp yes. Ancelotti definitely. I'd rather Benitez than Guardiola too. Benitez over Pep. I might revisit this in a year but aye he is. Pep has been handed teams that are some of the best ever. Benitez has won trophies with second tier sides. Won the CL with f***ing Liverpool ffs. How comes Barca only got success again once they signed Neymar and Suarez then? absolutely ridiculous some of the criticisms he gets tbh. Only man in the history of football i can think of that consistently wins league titles and gets to at least the CL semis and if he doesn't get the treble it's not considered enough. Don't ever recall Ferguson, Ancelotti or Mourinho ever getting the same level of expectations or criticism and they had some pretty fucking amazing teams too, hell Ancelotti won the league once with Milan. Its because Bayern won the Champions League the year before he came and they have never looked as solid in the big Champions League games under Guardiola. This year they were unlucky and probably should have beaten Atletico tbf but the last two seasons they were totally outclassed and any manager in the world would have been criticised for those results and performances
  16. In a season I think that rule is although not sure
  17. He wants to play in midfield probably, or could just be bored
  18. I think they always knew he was a cunt, they just thought he was a decent manager after he started well at Palace
