What style of play? He can pass the ball well over 5 yards but the minute he tries anything difficult it goes straight to the other team. Don't think he'd get a game for any other team in the league. You and others always peddle this shite about people not appreciating him or not understanding what he does or "he'd look better in a passing team". What I see when I watch him is someone who can't do anything particularly well. So what is it that you see in him?

Which is a direct effect of him having to cover the whole of their half and hold the ball up because none of our other players enter their half To get the best out of him, someone needs to play up with him and not as deep as they currently do. Sissoko did the right thing, in looking straight at him, running into him and then bringing him down, after he's had a touch. I thought he seemed to try harder than usual. But he was still shit. His final ball and crossing, was woeful yet again. He's an impressive physical specimen. Tall, strong, athletic, quick. Yet he doesn't appear to have a brain or a heart. He rarely wins headers and for someone of his build, he's weak as piss. He's alright when he's trying to steamroll through people, but when he doesn't have the ball, he doesn't want to know. He also has the footballing technique of a toddler. It's like when you see a young kid playing football and they just run off in a straight line, with the ball bouncing all over the place. I think he's been shit for months now. It doesn't seem like that long ago, that I was saying despite all of his flaws, he should be the first name on the team sheet. I don't think that now and would be happy to see him dropped. Problem is, we don't have anyone to take his place. Sissoko just standing there in front of him didn't really help like tbf Both at fault to a certain extent. None of our attacking players really did well IMO. I would say Lascelles was probably our best player in that he didn't make any major mistakes I can think of. Shelvey was good defensively but didn't do much going forward. Mitro was his usual self, effective in non threatening areas. Actually thought Sissoko was considerably worse than usual attacking wise but put in a shift defensively. Ayoze not involved enough but some decent flashes

Whenever he tries a pass that isn't absolutely simple it goes to a player on the other team. He's shit

The problem is, he wins the ball and holds it up it in non-dangerous areas. In the penalty area he doesn't actually create any assists or finish. That isn't really his fault though, we literally create nothing. His movement is also absolutely shocking and he never attacks the ball

The options our players have when on the ball in the final third are so bad
