That’s another factor as well, I reckon they would be for a daft fee. 50m +. One of the biggest issues is Chelsea’s warped sense of player values as we’ve seen with Gallagher, we laugh about the fact fees they both pay and demand but the knock on effects are real.
-
That’s true, I suspect we aren’t fibbing about FFP this time and getting hall will be beyond us. doing business with clubs in this league is a nightmare.
-
Yeah, it’s why I’m waiting for the result of the city breaches and these potential breaches in future. It embargo is all they get then the enforcement is a total joke and to be ignored.
-
This isn’t correct. We can’t take the losses they book in the accounts as the FFP losses they are different figures are some items are excluded. Also if the punishment is an embargo then this is all well worth it.

Sell with a sell on clause as well as a buy back.
-
I mean the proof will be in the pudding when they are assed, another facet is the Covid writes offs they’ve been able to do. Just gaming the system to the max. and as I mentioned, it’s funny how related party deals were shut down as soon as our takeover was done but Boehly is allowed to game this for 2 years without any action. It just goes to show if you’re in the big 6 you can do what you want, you challenge them and they create rules to stop you. It’s scandalous.

Piece up on the athletic analysing potential left back signings. Hall, Cucu Tierney and Miranda all analysed.
-
Given his salary it’s probably just a standard loyalty bonus he’s due for not requesting the transfer. of course it’s another stick to beat him with mind.
-
‘Kin hell. Great for the revenue though. glad you managed to get a seat elsewhere.
-
So before this change how much wereseats there compared to now?
-
Wouldn’t surprise me if they tried to not sell Any of them. I think Maatsen is pushed into midfield. They would love to shift Cucu but they realise the loss that way.
-
I think he’s quality and one we should have picked up. That being said I was shocked by how much Villa lacked mobility in the Center of the park. On the face of it, Kamara McGinn and Luiz are all rather one paced, you throw in Tielmans and it’s all a bit samey.
-
And to quote myself what Chelsea are doing only comes with 2 forms of risk, the first is obviously they can’t keep up with the repayments and become liquidated (unlikely) the second is the regulatory risk which might Be worth it if the sanction is say a fine. Either way, what Chelsea and city have done is the litmus test for the regulator and if they fail we can say goodbye to FFP.

Liked for posting garbage in the garbage thread.
-
Tron I might be tired after a long days work, you’re not suggesting you’d prefer to lose isak than Wilson right?
-
Wages and agent fees obviously don’t count
-
I just refuse to click mail links btw according to the transfer tracker Simon jones was actually the first to break some of our transfers so this might be real.
-
Mail link can you post the article please including the writer?
-
Uefa have closed it already, funnily enough it’s the PL who haven’t yet which is most odd given they immediately banned related sponsorships the moment we were taken over.
-
254m euro according to transfer market this window.
-
Isak is untouchable, selling him for any amount would be a mistake. Would hate to see Bruno leave as well.
-
Yeah definitely and it’s important to realise these transfers are all outliers in the grand scheme of things. Very few clubs can afford these absolutely mental fees.
-
Which is odd because the athletics in particular kept mentioning how the wages were crazy in January.
-
I’m sure they are, it’s his mega wages though I just don’t see how we can ever square them. Fair play his agent is a beast though I bet he was on hardly ought at Brighton.
-
The problem would come 12 months down the line where we have inflated his value. If he’s successful I can’t see him wanting to take a pay cut either. we will probably need to give this one a wide birth.
