It's such a shameless bunch of owners. They have literally brassnecks.

Listening to the Athletics podcast regarding these rules changed and Matt slater is on whom I like but he's getting on my nerves so far. Terms such as "smashing the ceiling in a hurry" his tone is off to me it has a hint of disapproval. Why do certain clubs feel a sense of entitlement towards success why are others not allowed to compete. It goes totally against the spirit of the sport to have rules which are anti competitive in nature, it's disappointing this isn't widely recognised as the journalist continue to trot out the premier league line.

Oh without a doubt couldn't agree with you more. I went through our side a month ago or so and really couldn't see where the goals and assist were coming from. We are one dimensional and stagnant imo.
-
Any idea how many be got in the second half of the season from open play? Tripps also cost us a ton of goals so I'm not sure he's the answer mind.
-
I'm wondering what's happened to him, he was an aggressive wingback now he looks more like a limited fullback albeit excellent defensively. Was watching him quite closely and their were a couple of occasions when I expected him to sprint and he just didn't
-
Depressing right? I took absolutely zero pleasure in ringing the ffp alarm bell way back, it stinks.
-
Indeed he hasn't played a lot and has pulled up trees when he has. Admittedly his start to his career with us has been less than ideal. I'm not saying he's bad, I think he's really good but I'm not sure he fits us and obviously he cost a fortune and he's on big money. Let's hope he's just doing Eddie's trademark easing period and he comes and shines.
-
Isak xg under performance is 1.x Gordon's is 2.x Our expected points position is where we are.
-
Hmm, he doesn't fit our team and cost a lot. I don't think he's personally the problem but is he the solution ? As of right now he's the worst signing the club has made, objectively speaking.
-
One swallow doesn't make a summer. Who is Isak beating in air? Football has moved on from lump it up to a big man or get it into the mixer. Unless your West ham and your playing us
-
Would bite their hands off for our money back personally.
-
It is because very few attackers can actually beat centre halfs from crosses cutbacks obviously not counted. We'd be crossing it in to players who aren't suited to winning aerial battles, really low % football.

Na, Kelly was always starting in Burns place. We get wrecked aerially if we are playing with Schar and Krafh.
-
Burn was suspended.
-
Think he switched off tbh, happens to all players it's just obviously very costly in this situation.
-
Wasn't Lloyd Kellys finest moment without doubt.

It's a no from me dog. Jokes aside, Delap would be massively overpriced and we still haven't solved our right wing or 10 issue, and one injury as we'd be ruined we don't change players capable of playing as Pivots. We just haven't built our squad that way.
-
It probably requires a new manager and a lot of turnover in the squad. We've recruited for Eddie's 433 and have a squad full of 8's. Not a 10 or 6 to be found.
-
This will work for the 10 minutes Wilson is fit. Your better writing him of Cuba. Save yourself the disappointment.
-
Aye it's an option but we the problem with say a 4231 is we still have that rancid right side and we don't have a player capable of playing as a 10. We've built our squad poorly and now we are both hamstrung by PSR and paying the price less than ideal long term planning.

Yeah I can see that, I think Tonali has to be the 6 if we stick with our current system, he has the legs which Bruno doesn't so he can actually function as a more traditional DM because he has the legs to cover the space our full backs leave. He can also carry the ball forward from deep as well and hopefully trigger a press which could open up some space for a Bruno to receive it higher up the pitch with a bit more space. As many others have pointed out, we've been found out, Bruno barely gets a kick most games and is usually marked out of the game, he's one of our best players so we have to free him up and get him in to those dangerous areas again.
-
You are absolutely right but the problem is we spent 50+m on the guy who is meant to improve us, that's 50m we needed to deploy elsewhere. It's obviously a fine balancing act but to achieve our goals we either had to cheat or be flawless.
-
Was obviously super exiting when we signed him but damn this isn't going how we imagined it would.
