Speed was a typical British midfielder 100% blood and thunder get up and down the pitch all day type. Saying speed had more footballing ability than Cabaye is just incorrect. I can't see Roma having the money to buy Cabaye as it would cost them in the region of 25 million euros. I wouldn't do it, three seasons without the CL is a lot for someone who's played in it regularly. If we can get a fair price for him next summer then we can look to replace with a player that has the same mindset he had when he arrived. I think this is the best case scenario personally, given he has no ties to the club I can't expect loyalty. 3 years of service and a healthy profit is the best we can hope for. Sad really

Colo has been poor this season and Mbiwa is hitting form as was Anita before he found himself warming the bench. Pardew plays his favourites regardless of form.

Pardew has bottled it again, Mbiwa has looked class since his return to the team, It's a shame the likes of Ben Arfa and Anita don't receive the same treatment.
