Thinking about it, isn’t this just a pattern under Eddie (the way we start seasons). 22/23 we won early but then didn’t for ages but looked solid. 23/24 wasn’t it 3 points from 3 games before going on a run? And last season we picked up points but we were poor during that. It’s always ended up with going on great runs of wins and being there, sure it will happen again this season.

£40 million is the bog standard price for a PL midfielder, might even be on the low side. We need to look at the continent
