  1. We’re allowed to celebrate. But not seeing Saudi ownership as problematic, at all, and instead waving flags…I can’t understand that.
  2. Maybe Rafa has a clause in his contract with Everton. If NUFC are sold, I’m off.
  3. ? SKÅL from Sweden. We did it!
  4. An investment group led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and also comprising PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media (the “Investment Group”), has completed the acquisition of 100% of Newcastle United Limited and Newcastle United Football Club Limited (“Newcastle United” or the “Club”) from St. James Holdings Limited. All requisite approvals have been obtained from the English Premier League and the acquisition was completed on 7 October 2021. The Investment Group is comprised of long-term, patient investors who have every confidence in the future success of the Club. Today’s announcement is the conclusion of a thorough and detailed process that has allowed the Investment Group to arrive at a deal that benefits all stakeholders and will leave Newcastle United well-placed to pursue a clear, long-term strategy. His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of PIF, will serve as Non-Executive Chairman of Newcastle United. Amanda Staveley, chief executive of PCP Capital Partners, will have one seat on the board. Jamie Reuben will also be a director of the Club, representing RB Sports & Media. For PIF, one of the world’s most impactful investors, the acquisition is in line with its strategy of focusing on key sectors including Sports and Entertainment, and aligns with PIF’s mission to actively invest over the long term – in this case, to harness the Club’s potential and build upon the Club’s legacy. Commenting on the agreement, His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of PIF, said: "We are extremely proud to become the new owners of Newcastle United, one of the most famous clubs in English football.

  8. I’m not convinced on Potter tbh. Is he a big club manager?
  9. Have to say I’m a little bitter this has been dragged out for so long that we can’t have Rafa. He would have been perfect in the build-up phase.
  10. Working today will definitely be a problem
  11. The same for me, I haven’t seen us play this season. But if this goes through I’ll be able to support NUFC again, I’ll want us to win for a change. That’s enough for me.
  12. ”New owners want to win football games”
  13. Exactly what we need. We haven’t been in contact with sports for 15 years.
  14. Bielsa would be fantastic and suit us to a tee. Mancini would be amazing as well. Conte would do. Have we ever had an Italian manager?
  15. We’re moving up in the world
  16. Talk of bacon won’t go down well with our new owners. He’ll be out on his fat arse.
  17. Ashley’s media channel of choice isn’t it?
  18. January transfer window could be interesting for the first time in decades
  19. Just when I’d managed to not give a fuck about NUFC…haven’t watched a game this season
