Regarding the rumours about Martinez continuing with the Belgium gig if he comes here; does that even happen these days? Yes I understand that being a national team manager is less demanding but I find it hard to see him doing both jobs.

I think it’s good. Greater risk of injuries affecting games with 3 subs. Lesser risk of injuries with 5. More players get playing time. Easier to let young players get playing time. Final 15-20 minutes of games become more interesting. More pros than cons IMO.

Since ’Trust the process’ is an expression I really like and have been using far too much, I know this will be good.

Fonseca seems like a great fit for Newcastle United, an inspirational football romantic. But I think he’d be here already if we’d want him.
