  1. We don't get anything good. Ashley's here for the rest of his life.
  2. Their we fucking go. Only in talks, set to run and run. So. Fucking. Predictable.
  3. Ashley's always between 1 and 3 depending how SD is doing. This guy is rich enough man, that's not an issue. He's richer than "Mandy", that's for sure.
  4. I'm braced for the inevitable news that doesn't kill it but takes it back to the "Data room" stage tommorow.
  5. He might be a joke in the family but he's 9 times richer than Mike Ashley is on his own wealth. That's enough for me.
  6. "one source with knowledge of the Sheik's operations expressed cynicism that a deal would be imminent with Newcastle."
  7. Here we fucking go. First little suggestions it'll be shit.
  8. Aye, was just checking the Sunlun thread for a few laughs. Nearly fell out the chair when I saw this title and was wondering which of you pricks was on the wind up
  9. Our current owner's a beacon of shining light for those like.

Donald and Methven have took cheap shots at us all season long knowing that Charnley never speaks and so they'll never be a response from our side. Just a nice, official congratulations from us on a great season for them finishing fifth and making a final would be nice.

No Igor Vetokele for Charlton. Massive shame as he's far too good for that level.
  12. As long as Ben Dawson is in charge as a whole and is allowed to change anything he's not happy with... hang on, that's just the same as the first team.
  13. True but he was arguably the best player on the pitch for several of those games. McTominay was arguably the best player on the pitch against Barcelona (first game) and definitely the best player on the pitch against PSG yet people on here are suggesting Longstaff is better. This reminds me of when Hayden was the best player on the pitch against Man City. I know this is to make a point but I still want to argue Longstaff was better
  14. Arguably better than Lionel Messi was Scotty. Saw it in a Froggy post right there.
  15. Much rather have Longstaff than McTominay from what I've seen.
  16. They get tight fitting ones that they actually have the body for tbf
  17. "Another rule which has been introduced for next season sees some major alterations to substitutions. Now players will have to leave the pitch at the nearest point rather than walk slowly across the field late in games and waste time." Love this. Pet peeve of mine is when a player knows he's coming off so just happens to switch to the far side of the pitch so he can slowly walk over.
  18. Yes please. Love the look of him.
  19. He's more ruthless than Rafa (and that's saying something) but Rafa's a good, kind man underneath all that who wants to bring others up. Jose's bitter, angry and doesn't help anyone but himself long term. Buys himself short term success then buzzes off. That's great if a team can follow up with something that lasts after him. Not sure he'd do much good for a smaller team though.
  20. Possibly. I can't remember what what he was like at this level.
  21. I could see Leroy Fer on a free if Diame and Hayden both go.
  22. They're actually learning to play together as a team for once. Under Beardsley some players would actually look really bright but the team always looked a mess. Which probably doesn't help making the step up, as if you're useless tactically it won't matter if you're talented enough. Dawson's got them playing in a way that they're probably more ready to step in and play a team role.
  23. 1 year rolling is hell. Just means we get this every single year.
