Because there's more chance to beat Manchester City/Liverpool in a one-off game at home, than over two legs and a one-off final at a neutral venue against clubs totally familiar with finals.
There’s more chance of winning one hard game then two though…

How does it make sense to want a harder game above an easier one? I’m confused
It makes zero sense

He has a contract to 2025. We should be accepting any offer we can for him or risk loaning him out constantly for the next 3 years. His value will only decline from here on in.

Multiple cases a month, and last one which caught the headlines is 3 years ago. Point proven really. Unless match fixing or betting on his own team is involved, it won't be a ban.
Do think trippier was hard down by. He should be able to tell people he is moving, and betting companies should run bets on next club.
What do you mean multiple cases a month? Of Premier league - league one footballers?
Completely agree on Trippier. Like any of us telling a mate we've got a new job.

Reading tge fa charges website, there is 2 a month for an E8. Owners, directors, players and managers. All sorts getting charged yet you don't hear 24 cases of long term suspensions a year.
Last noticeable one was Barton and that was ares ago...plus I think the fa had had enough of him by then. Easy excuse to finish off his career.
The last noticeable one was our own right back less than 3 years ago

Not that great amount either.
INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT IN RELATION TO BETTING
Kenny Amor, Chairman & Director, Eastleigh FC
Breach of FA Rule E8 - Misconduct under FA Rule E1(b) in respect of 13,919 bets placed on football between 16 March 2015 to 23 February 2022.
The Participant has until 7 July 2022 to provide a response. Why do you say its unlikely? There's been several footballers banned in the last few years for very similar offences.

I can see Lewis, Dummett and Ritchie all being loaned/released in Jan to make some space up.

It’s way too early in our progression to be going for someone like Bellingham. He will only move to a team fighting for the title on a consistent basis and we’re not there yet
I genuinely can't believe he's still only 19. He's younger than Eliot Anderson ffs
3 seasons in the Bundesliga and one in the championship by that age. Insane.

Genuinely happier when this lad scores than any other player in our team.

Can't believe his fall from one of the hottest prospects in world football and lighting up a world cup to where he's at now.
I mean, he's 31. He's obviously been poor for a couple of seasons but he's not the first person to wind up early in his 30s.

Well for a start it isn’t just about Newcastle. It’s the fact there’s no football at all. People all over the country enjoy not only their own team but other games in the league and on tvalso If you can’t tell the difference of people looking forward to a game now and how people were happy to get to the transfer window without losing more games then, then I can’t help you
The point is that you can't really clamour for games to be called off last season when it suits you and then also complain that fans are disappointed / out of pocket this season because the game is less vital to NUFC so you wanted it to go ahead. If you do, it makes you a bit of a hypocrite when those same fans would have been out of pocket last season as well.

Because people look forward to it all week and also because people have made plans and spent money on it. It’s not exactly rocket science
And yet as I said, nobody was complaining when the COVID games were cancelled last year, when we had an injury crisis and were in the middle of a relegation battle. Funny that.
-
I'm not sure why people are annoyed tbh, it's definitely a good thing for NUFC as we'll likely have Wilson, ASM and Bruno all back in our team for the next game.
Everyone was happy when we postponed games last year due to COVID

We've essentially replaced:
Ciaran Clark with Sven Botman
Dwight Gayle with Isak
Dubravka with Pope
That's an insane strengthening of the spine of the team in one window. Don't see how anyone can be unhappy with that.

Looks like the loan has an obligation to buy once a number of appearances have been met.
