I fucking hope not, although I'll look forward to the disallowed goal we get ruled out that was perfectly fine

You do in Rugby League which is a rapid fast flowing sport, as it is without rucks and mauls, and it's no worse for it. Even if the ref gets decisions wrong, as in offside or knock ons. Those decisions stay as they are, no need for Football to be any different imo. Posted this before, whenever I watch rugby league it seems like every single try is reviewed. It's almost like a feature on Sky. Don't watch loads, maybe it's just a coincidence. There are a few a match tbf, but in Rugby League you get a lot of tries a game, far more that goals in a football match on average, so that skews it a tad.

Not really when you watch it, it's a different sport but the premise of the smaller decisions is valid when you watch a Rugby League match, you never really notice. With Vars it's never going to be liked by some, and this is what ? the 6th match used in this country. If they can iron out the delay in decisions and get it right i don't see why it can't be a success.

Not for those against VAR, still 2-4 for in their football purist minds. I back Vars, just need to speed it up, whack a big screen up so the fans know what's happening, can't be that hard. And Liverpool are still in it, and rightly so because of Vars.

That's made it interesting.

Going forward ten yards for dissent was another got rid off sharpish.

Erm.....10 years of it ? -
I'm not even sure about that. The penalty, well there was a pull, was it enough to send him to the floor, I doubt it. Seemed like he realised he wasn't reaching the cross and ooh there's contact I'm hitting the deck. I get he went to ground a bit easy but i thought there was a pull, enough of one to give a pen. That your matter of opinion decision like, something everyone will never agree on.
-
Aye, there was no reason why Marriner could have said good goal after 10 seconds, that didn't need 1 minute or so.
-
I'd add bad tackles to it like they do in Rugby.
-
But Liverpool would be 1-3 down due to a missed offside and missed foul in the box, those aren't small decisions in games, they're the very reasons it's been brought in to stop the unfairness. Totally agree about the flow of the game mind, they need to tune Vars up in that respect.
-
End of the day the decision were right, you just need to smooth out the way you get there with Vars, it was always going to be trial and error to begin with.

To validate it yourself, should be like Cricket but this is how football do it. Anyways it was a pen, don't pull him and defend properly. I mean, I get why he wants to validate the opinion himself. But in a situation like that, surely he knows that's what he's probably going to want to do? So rather than stand around for fuck knows how long, just go straight to the sideline and watch it. I agree with you, i'd let the ref with Vars decide to cut the time waiting. You need a big screen up for the fans to see what's happening like you get in Cricket, everyone knows what's going on then.
-
Pulling him when you have Vars watching is stupid as feck like.

Never understand players moaning, don't pull him ffs.
-
That's a pen like.

I know he's an arse but it's hard not to like him at times

Anyone else notice Phil Jones

In regard to Mitro and his replacement, it's better to have a player that Rafa wants and will play, than keep a player he doesn't trust and won't play.
-
Nope, even if he's guilty that wouldn't be sorted out for yonks. Unbelievably i think Brighton are trying to build a squad, something which is fecking alien to our regime and confuses the feck out of us.
-
You may scoff, but I'm basing all this on the dubious possibility that Brighton have actually bid £15m for Mitro. Fuck knows if that's even true. Just mucking about mate it's the if we sell bit, i think we could sell and not replace Mitro in a heartbeat. Ashley can give it 'I'm prepared to spend what it takes' Nah, ten years of it shows us it's pure bullshit and bluster.
